IYFA “Muzite” is a multi-genre festival and contest at different forms of arts: dance, music, theatre, fine arts, photography, magical and circus art, martial arts, etc.
Children and young people aged 5 to 35 years, coming from school of arts, academies, studios and kids centers, are allowed to take part in the festival-contest.
Teams/collectives and individual performers with representatives of over 35 years can participate in the non-competition program: the concert "Day of the country" and mix - concert at the closing session of the festival.
 
The twelfth edition of IYFA "Muses" will be held from 05 to 15 July 2017 in the town of Sozopol, in two sessions:
- I Session from 05 to 10 July. In the first session will be held competitions in sections: "Fiction Literature", " Dance arts", " Non-standard art forms" and "Films".
- II Session from 10 to 15 July. In the second session will be held competitions in sections: "Fine, Applied and photo arts", "Music Arts" and "Theatre".
In addition to the competition, teams and individual performers can participate in non-contest program also.
 
Arrival of participants in the first session - 05 July; departure - July 10.
Arrival of participants in the second session - 10 July, departure - 15 July
 
Participants can join at will in both sessions.
The extension of a stay of the participants is possible only prior to the beginning and after the end of the festival!
The performances of creative ensembles and solo artists may not be used for commercial purposes. All performances are free.
Each participant is able to take part in the nominations without limits under the condition of making a separate application form for each nomination and payment for each nomination.
Participation fee includes participation in the contest in one section and one category of art. Participation in the competition in other sections and arts category is available for an additional fee.
 
Participant from team/collective, with a solo performance is considered to be an individual participant and must complete a separate application.
Prerequisite for participation in the festival is completing and sending the application form. Application forms should be filled clearly and contain complete and accurate information that is considered for final. Application certifies that the applicant accepts the conditions of the festival.
 
 The same deadline is valid for sending audio and/or video recordings (on a magnetic carrier or electronically) of the pieces that the applicants will perform at the festival.  Submitted pieces will not be returned.
 
Participants in the festival-contest perform in the relevant age group.

Age groups of competitors:

  • First age group:           5 to 12 years inclusive.
  • Second age group:     13 to 18 years inclusive.
  • Third age group:         19 to 35 years inclusive.
In each team of a given age group is allowed up to 30% of the participants to be in younger or older age group.
Each team and individual artist participates with a different program. Repeats of the same performance of a participant in concerts are not allowed. Each team and soloist participates with two performances in the competition and with one performance in the concert of the closing session, which are previously indicated in the application form.
Participants who are not included in the competition program, participate in the parade, “Day of the Country” - concert and in the concerts of  the closing sessions of the festival.
The competition program will be drawn up by the organizing committee on the basis of the applications received . The order of performances in the competition is determined by the organizing committee in advance.
The order of the performances in the competition depends on the age of the participants (from junior to senior age groups) and requested nominations (from folk to classical and modern).
The rehearsal time set for each participant should not exceed 2 minutes for soloists and up to 5 minutes for groups. Under rehearsal time is understood the acoustic and space proportions of the scene, soundcheck of the recordings and the operation of the technical support (microphones, lights).
On the first day of each session is held organizational and technical conference with the writer, director, concert leaders, technical team (sound, lighting, special effects), managers of teams and individual participants. They specify the script for the parade and the opening of the session.
The participations present recordings for the performance of the group (soloist) on CD, or Flash memory disk, with great sound quality. Each record must be on a separate carrier with the name of the work and duration time. It is imperative to have a copy! The recordings will be returned after the performance.
 
Managers of the festival recommend that creative formations and soloists learn the text, music and choreography of the anthem of IYFA “Muzite”, and carry the national flag of their country.
The group leaders are fully responsible for their teams, costumes and props.
All heads of creative formations and individual participants must pay insurance for themselves in advance for the period of traveling and stay during the festival.
There are no restrictions on the number of performing ensembles and number of participants in each formation. The team directors alone determine the concert program. It is desirable that the musical accompaniment to the dancing and vocal groups is provided by an orchestra of folklore or modern musical instruments, but it is also open to any media: СD, mini CD, USB.

Participation requirements:

For their participation in the Festival the ensembles and the individual participants should have prepared the following types of programs:
-      participation in the competition program: two performances for participation in the contest with a duration stipulated in the status quo of the festival;
-      participation in the noncompetition program: concert program up to 15 minutes (block-program or with breaks to change costumes) to participate in the concert “Day of the country” (to show games, songs, dances that are typical of their country);
-      marches and processions along  the main streets of the town of Sozopol - groups carry the national flag of their country and the flag of the team (if any) procession fragments 3 to 5 minutes.
-      Solemn Gala Concert at the Closing program of the Festival up to 5 minutes ;
-      daily joint events between the teams of different countries (exchange of experience, competitions, games, discos)

Participation fee:

First payment: Ten percent of the total amount is to be paid in advance to EAFF as a guarantee fee. 
Second payment: Thirty percent of the total amount must be paid up to 5th of May 2017. Within this period a scanned copy of the bank transfer must be sent to the festival’s managers by e-mail or fax.
Final payment: 25th of May 2017  The final date to transfer the whole amount for your participation via a bank transfer or notify the Organizational Committee that you will pay when the team arrives in Sozopol. Upon arrival of a smaller number of participants than originally announced, the deposit of 30% is not deductible
In case of application cancellation, related to hotel reservation and for reasons beyond the festival’s managers, paid in advance amount cannot be returned. Managers of the festival will further negotiate the conditions of participation in the event with participants who failed to send an application within deadline and in case all hotel vacancies are over.
 
Type 1:
  • 140 Euro per person for 6 days/5 nights  (5-10 July)* (10 - 15 July)*
  • 260 Euro per person for 11 days/10 nights  (5-15 July)*
The package price includes:
  • organizational and technical support of the festival events;
  • accommodation in 2 * or 3 * hotels in studios and apartments with 3 and 4 beds in Sozopol; 2 star hotel accommodation in rooms with two, three, four beds and apartments (fridge, TV, air conditioner) (There is accomodation in Primorsko and Kiten)
  • 5-day full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
  • 3-times feeding (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in restaurant 2*or 3*.
  • Festival participation fee (in competition and out of competition program);
* Participation fee includes participation in the contest in one section and one category of art. Participation in the competition in other sections and arts category is available for an additional fee.
 
Type 2:
Optionally provide only accommodation with festival fee (without feeding) at the following prices:
  • 90 Euro per person for 6 days / 5 nights (5-10 July), * (10 - 15 July) *
  • 160 Euro per person for 11 days / 10 nights (5 - 15 July) *
Price package and applies to all members of the delegation (players, managers, parents, fans)
Promotional Discount: When submitting application form and payment deposit to 30 March 2017 each participant receives a 15% discount on the package price!

 Discounts:

  • for a group of 15 people, the 16th is received free of charge
  • for a group of 25 people, the 26th and 27th participate free of charge
  • children of up to 2 years of age are accommodated free of charge
For the first session: first service - dinner on July 5, last service - lunch on July 10.
For the second session: first service - dinner on July 10, last service - lunch on July 15.
If you want to accommodate into a room with one or two beds, prices can be negotiated.
*The Festival also offers accommodation in 4 and 5-star hotels. For more information and prices, please contact the Organizational Committee.

Other payments:

  • 20 EUR Burgas-Sozopol -Burgas transfer (for groups of at least 20 people)
  • 35 EUR  Varna-Sozopol -Varna transfer (for groups of at least 30 people)
  • 90 EUR (depending on the number of passengers) Istanbul-Sozopol -Istanbul transfer
  • 10 EUR an additional payment of EUR 10 day/person for accommodation in a single room
  • 25 EUR day/person (night + full board) for additional stay at a time other than within the   Festival days. The additional number of nights must be specified in the application form.
  • 15 EUR per day / person (accommodation only) for additional stay outside the festival days. The additional number of overnight stays must be stated in the application;
Festival participation fee:
Does not include accommodation and food and is paid by each participant. The fee is valid for participation in a contest nomination for each age group.
• 50 EUR – individual artist;
• 50 EUR - duet or trio for each participant.
• 30 EUR - group for each participant.
Each one who request participation in more than one nomination must pay 50% of the above fees for each subsequent nomination.

Terms of stay:

The guests are made ​​depending on arrival , but no earlier than 14:00 pm on the same day, and release up to 12:00 on the day of departure. All keys must be returned to the reception desk till the time of departure. Extended stay on the departure day is possible with prior coordination. The guests occupy rooms in the hotel during the stay and be required to pay for extra guests in case they are established. Accommodation and use of common areas in a manner that prevents or offend other guests / residents will be cause for termination of the stay.
No smoking in hotels and entry of pet animals. Any damages to the hotel property,  during the stay must be paid before departure.
Visiting teams who arrive with their own organized transport can park their bus or other vehicle in a guarded or unguarded parking at their own expense.
The group leaders are fully responsible for their teams, costumes and props.
All heads of creative formations and individual participants must pay insurance for themselves in advance for the period of traveling and stay during the festival

Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.
