Date and location of Festival: Georgia, Tbilisi, October 26-30/2017

Goal of the Festival: 

Development of folklore arts; popularization of the world folklore culture; sharing of experience between participants; empowerment of mutual respect and tolerance; deepening of creative contacts; popularization of Georgian and world folklore arts; improvement of the level of qualification of choreographers;

Festival Participants:

Folklore groups from different countries of the world and different regions of Georgia (ages not limited) take part in the Festival.

Participation Conditions:

  • Participants present two shows (3-5 minutes each) in the following nominations: folklore dances, folklore songs (ensembles and individual); songs and romances; folklore handcraft arts (exhibitions). 
  • In the final conclusive concert participating artists will present only one show. 
  • Music can be live or phonogram. 
  • With the application Festival participants submit their program (audio, video files of their previous shows, materials necessary to be published in the newspaper and Festival booklet). 
  • Festival participants will be awarded with the Festival Laureate Diplomas and different presents.

  • Reception of group supervisors in the Union office;
  • Dinner;
  • Excursion in night Tbilisi. 
Day 2,
October 27
  • Breakfast (hotel);
  • Departure to Mtskheta;
  • Reception of delegation leaders in Mtskheta Municipality;
  • Festival parade;
  • Festival opening Gala Concert;
  • Lunch;
  • Excursion in Mtskheta;
  • Departure for Tbilisi;
  • Dinner at the hotel.  
Day 3,
October 28
  • Breakfast (hotel);
  • Departure for Kvareli;
  • Reception of delegation leaders in Kvareli Municipality;
  • Excursion in Kvareli;
  • Lunch;
  • Festival parade;
  • Concert;
  • Departure for Tbilisi;
  • Dinner (hotel). 
Day 4,
October 29
  • Breakfast (hotel);
  • Departure for Telavi;
  • Reception of delegation leaders at Telavi Municipality;
  • Excursion in Telavi;
  • Lunch;
  • Festival parade;
  • Gala Concert; awarding of participants with diplomas and memorable presents;
  • Banquet for heads of all delegations;
  • Departure for Tbilisi;
  • Dinner (hotel). 
Day 5,
October 30
  • Breakfast (hotel);
  • Meeting at Shota Rustaveli State University of Theatre and Cinema (ensemble Rustavi or Nartebi); master-class;
  • Lunch;
  • Excursion in Tbilisi;
  • Dinner (hotel). 

Participation fee:

According to self-funding principle each foreign participating groups pay the following fee per participant of their group:
  • 175 Euro – 5 days – hotel accommodation (2, 3 and 4 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;
  • 200 Euro – 5 days – 2-star hotel accommodation (2, 3 and 4 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;
  • 250 Euro – 5 days – 3-star hotel accommodation (2, 3 and 4 bed rooms), meals 3 times a day; all in-country transportation, including airport transfer both ways;
Important: Every 16th participant of a Festival participant group is free from the Festival fee; (15+1)
Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.
Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.
Participating group transfers 50% advance payment of the whole fee to be paid.  Remaining 40% is to be transferred not later than a week ahead of the start of Festival.
