Естония Tartu Folk Club Maatasa from Tartu mainly introduces Southern Estonian dances, folk tunes and songs from the end of 19th century and the beginning of 20th century. The repertoire can also include modern folk songs and arrangements. The group uses authentic Estonian folk instruments like fiddle, kannel, jew's harp, bagpipe, diatonic accordion and wears the traditional costumes of Southern Estonia.Maatasa consists of young people aged 17-22 and children aged 9-12. All the members of the group sing, dance and most of them play musical instruments - this makes the group very unique. The name "Maatasa" confers to the authenticity, to being down-to-earth, but also to the youthfulness and the freedom to play the music in their own way.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehvNluOJoSI
