Folklore festival in Apulia gives you the opportunity to discover amazing historical places Matera and Alberobello with charming trulli date back to the mid-fourteenth century what is the biggest attraction of this region. Also you may visit the Capital of Apulia, Bari and beautiful towns Ostuni and Altamura.

Conditions of the festival:

  • Folklore dancing ensembles, chorus, majorettes, musical bands are invited to participate in this folklore festival which will be held in Matera.
  • Every group will perform once and it should prepare a 10 minutes program.
  • Performances with live and music recorded on USB are both allowed.
  • The age and the maximum number of dancers in the group are not limited. Adult, youth and children ensembles are welcome.
  • Soloists are not accepted.
  • Family members and friends may join this folklore festival and take the chance to visit Italy and Apulia for the same price.
  • The accommodation of the groups is provided in 3* hotels in triple rooms, and it includes 3 nights with breakfast.
  • On your special request we can provide higher categories of the hotels with supplement 15-20 Euro per each day.
  • Accommodation for 1 person is free of charge if you have more than 25 persons in the group (25+1).
  • Accommodation for 2 persons is free of charge if you have more than 40 persons in the group (40+2).
How to arrive?
Port of the Bari is reachable from following ports Drac (Albania), Igoumenitsa (Greece), Bar (Montenegro) and Dubrovnik (Croazia).
The nearest airports are Bari Airport and Naples Airport.

  • Trip expenses, airport transfers and other transfers if needed, parking
  • Tourist guide, accompanying persons, sightseeing, excursions
  • Tourist city tax (2-4 Euro per person per day)

  • Supplement for staying in a double room - 6 Euro per person per day
  • Supplement for staying in a single room - 30 Euro per person per day

Program:

March 27th
The groups should arrive to the hotel between 14:00 and 19:00 where they will be welcomed and referred to the program.
You may use a part of this day to visit Bari, the capital of the Apulia.

March 28th
You may visit Matera and Altamura. In the evening the festival in Matera. Performances will be held on an open-air stage or in the theatre in case of the bad weather conditions.

March 29th
This day is free for sightseeing. We suggest visiting Alberobello and Citta di Ostuni.

March 30th
You should check out after the breakfast.

* The exact time of the beginning and the ending of the festival will be announced later. Program on the day of the festival must be respected. Groups are required to adjust their bus transport according to it and are supposed to be present at the awarding ceremony!

Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.
Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.

Next step: As confirmation of its participation in the festival, a group pays in advance 2 000 Euro (which is not reimbursable in case you later decide not to come).

The rest of the amount is to be paid 15 days before the festival by bank transfer.

In case of unexpected circumstances or Force Majeure, the organizer reserves the right to change the date of the event or to postpone it for the next year.
