Director: Marzenna Howorska Terms and conditions for participation: The Festival is not of a competitive nature. The Festival is for (professionals and amateurs) – artisans, musicians, singers and dancers presenting the folk culture and tradition typical for their region. Performances with live music have priority during the selection process. Presented program should be typical for its ethnographic region and should present characteristic elements of its culture. The program should be prepared as artistic, stage presentation. The artists should be in original costumes. Number of participants: a) up to 20 persons FREE OF CHARGE (including director and drivers) for groups with music on CD/pendrive; b) up to 25 persons FREE OF CHARGE (including director and drivers) for groups with live music; c) additional participants: 25 EURO per extra person per day. Duration of the presentations: 2 programs: about 15 minutes about 20 minutes The performances will be held on professional stages in: Old Square of Gniezno city; Museum of the First Piasts at Lednica - Museum of the Beginnings of the Polish State; National Museum of Agriculture in Szreniawa; Lusowo – during the harvest celebrations. Conditions: Accommodation and full board are provided from supper 17.08.2022 to breakfast 22.08.2022 – Poznan University of Technology Students’ Campus. Travelling expenses from and to Poznan are paid by the participants. The promoter covers travelling expenses during the Festival. The cost of the insurance is covered by the participants. Participants are asked to bring the flag of their country, board sign with the name and the country of the Ensemble, as well as 5 gifts for the officials. The Festival’s presentations will be recorded by the media without fees in aid of the Ensemble. Participants are obliged to take part in all the presentations and events included in the program of the Festival. During the Festival the evening Folk Jam Session is held by the riverbank of Warta river in Poznan. It is an informal party (no costumes) with other participants and locals. The participants are asked to prepare ap. 30 min. animation program of common/popular folklore of their region (music, singing, dancing) to teach and play with other attendees. Stage with sound system is provided. The promoter will arrange some touristic tours for foreign groups as well. Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.
