Muğla is a city in southwestern Turkey. The city is the center of the district of Menteşe and Muğla Province, which stretches along Turkey's Aegean coast. Muğla's center is situated inland at an altitude of 660 m and lies at a distance of about 30 km from the nearest seacoast in the Gulf of Gökova to its south-west. 

The name Caria derives from the Carian settlement in this region in ancient times. The province's known history begins with the Hittites, who called the region Lugga. After the empire's disintegration, the Phrygians took over, later conquered by the Lydians, and Dorians and Ionians also migrated to the region. Bodrum, Dalaman, Datça, Fethiye, Kavaklıdere, Köyceği, Marmaris, Menteşe.

Marmaris is one of the most famous touristic cities in Turkey, part of the Mediterranean Sea between Turkey and Greece. The answer to the question "where do the Mediterranean Sea and the Aegean Sea meet" is Marmaris.

It is not just the sea or the nature that attracts people to Marmaris from all over the world. Not even the rich history reaching from past civilizations to today. There must be something more. We shall let an expert talk on the Mediterranean history. Fernand Braudel in his book named "Mediterranean" says:

"What is this Mediterranean? All of a thousand things. Not one landscape, countless landscapes. Not one sea, many seas following each other. Not one civilization, many civilizations piled on each other".

Marmaris is a place sheltering many of these landscapes, seas and civilizations.

Festival will start at 11 AUGUST 2026 16:00 and will end at 15 AUGUST 2026 10:00.

Conditions:

• 10 years old and above dancers can join the festival.
• The festival groups will be Folk Dance Groups, Modern Dances Groups, Classic Dances Groups, Country Dances Groups, Folk Music Groups, Chorus Groups, Classic Music Groups, Insturment Music Groups, Brass Band Groups, Country Music Groups, Street Theater Groups, Ritm Groups, Dumb Show Groups, Acrobatic Groups, Majjoretta Groups, Flag Groups, Vocal Groups.
• Groups will present a performances of 5, 10 and 15 minutes.
• Groups who will attend the festival should be minimum 5 person.
• There will be no free person for any capacity of the groups.
• Music can be live, CD or USB.
• Pictures of the groups should be sent with application.
• Festival program will be announced later on.

Participation fee:

• 215 Euro per person - 4 nights FB (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
