III International Dance Festival "The Art of Dance - 2025"

The festival is organized by the Department of Culture and the Mayor's Office of Osh.  

About Osh, Kyrgyzstan 

Osh is one of the oldest cities in Central Asia, with a history spanning over 3,000 years. Located in the southern part of Kyrgyzstan, near the border with Uzbekistan, it is the second-largest city in the country.  

Historically, Osh was an important trade center along the Silk Road. Its main attraction is Sulaiman-Too Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is also home to numerous markets, mosques, and museums. Additionally, Osh has an international airport, providing connections to other regions of Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries.  

Osh is renowned for its vibrant culture, warm hospitality, and authentic cuisine, making it an attractive destination for tourists and participants in international festivals.  

Festival Objectives

The festival aims to promote and recognize talented dance performers who demonstrate a high level of preparation and exceptional skills in choreographic art. It focuses on preserving and reviving the traditions of dance art, popularizing the rich heritage of folk dance, and exploring new forms of fusion between traditional and modern dance. The event also encourages international cooperation, cultural exchange, and the promotion of Kyrgyz traditional dance on the global stage.  

Participation Requirements

• The festival is open to creative dance groups representing various styles and genres of folk dance.  
• Each group can include up to 10 members.  
• Participants must be aged between 14 and 35 years.  
• Groups must perform traditional dances that reflect the culture of their country, dressed in folk costumes, accompanied by traditional music (provided on a USB drive).  
• Each group should prepare multiple performances for the festival. For gala concerts, performances must not exceed 5 minutes.  
• Choreographic performances previously presented at past festival editions are not allowed.  
• The organizers reserve the right to record performances for promotional purposes without financial compensation or copyright payments.  

Awards

All participants will receive **diplomas, certificates of appreciation, and official letters of recognition**.  

Financial Conditions

Covered expenses: The organizers provide accommodation and meals (5 nights and 6 days) and transportation from and to Osh International Airport.  
Travel costs to and from Osh are covered by the participants.

Insurance

- Each group is responsible for its own personal liability and health insurance.  
- The organizers provide access to emergency medical assistance and hospital services, but all medical expenses must be covered by the participants.  

Application Process 

Participants must submit an application form, including:  

• A completed participation form  
• Color photos and a resume of the dance group 
• If selected, passport copies of all participants (required for accommodation and visa procedures if needs)  
• A video presentation showcasing the group and cultural highlights of their country  

The Organizing Committee of the III International Dance Festival "The Art of Dance - 2025" extends a warm invitation to dance groups from around the world to take part in this exciting cultural event!

Important! Priority will be given to applications from Balkan countries, as part of an initiative to expand international cultural cooperation.
