The Trabzon International Folklore Festival is a prestigious cultural event that brings together folklore ensembles, dance groups and musical ensembles from different countries. The festival aims to promote traditional art, encourage international cultural exchange and create friendship between peoples through dance and music. The event provides a platform for presenting folklore performances, as well as the opportunity to participate in various official and cultural events. Trabzon is the ninth largest city in Turkey, located on the northeastern coast of Turkey, on the Black Sea coast. It is one of the oldest and most important commercial and cultural centers in the region, with a rich history dating back to ancient times. The city is known for its impressive nature, mountainous landscapes, green hills and cool climate. Among the main attractions are the Sumela Monastery, Hagia Sophia Trabzon, Trabzon Castle and the picturesque tea plantations in the surrounding area. Trabzon is an important port and transportation hub, as well as a cultural center where Turkish, Greek and Caucasian influences intertwine. The city is also famous for its cuisine, including the traditional dish kuymak and local tea. Conditions for participation: The festival is open to folklore ensembles, dance groups, choirs and musical ensembles from different countries. Participants must be 11 years of age or older. Each group can include up to 35 participants + 2 leaders. Groups with a larger number of participants may participate after approval by the organizers. Participants must carry the national flag of their country (70 cm x 150 cm). Within the framework of the festival program, representatives of the countries and ensembles will visit different areas where the events are held. During these visits, gift-giving is planned, and each leader should bring 3-5 gifts. Each group presents up to a 12-minute program with traditional dances and music. Attendance at all official ceremonies, parades, concerts and meetings is mandatory. Musical accompaniment must be provided on a flash drive. Groups must maintain cleanliness in the accommodation facilities and order during the festival. Accommodation and meals: The organizers provide accommodation (5 nights and 6 days) in student dormitories with their own bathroom in Akçaabat-Trabzon KYK. – Trabzon Higher Education Student Loans and Dormitories Institution Participants will be accommodated in rooms for 3-4 people. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided throughout the festival. Participation fee: 86 euros per person - 5 FB with 3 meals per day (5 nights and 6 days) (leaders - up to 2 and drivers - up to 2 are exempt from the fee). Transportation: For groups arriving by plane at Trabzon Airport, a transfer to the accommodation is provided. Groups traveling with their own buses will receive 100 liters of fuel for large buses and 50 liters for minibuses for local transfers. Insurance: Personal liability and health insurance are the obligations of the groups. There will be first aid and medical hospital care, medical services must be covered by the group or international insurance. Approved groups pay a 10% guarantee fee in advance, which is deducted from the final payment.
