Director: Evgeni Marinov Contact person: Petya Hristova We would like to invite you to participate in the International Festival ‘Authentic Folklore Abroad’, which will take place from 09th April to 13th April 2017 in Alanya, Turkey. It is open for adult non-professional participants. Arrival is on 09th April and there will be a technical conference in the evening, which will set all questions regarding duration and number of performances, place and time, depending on the number of participants in each category. Objectives & Tasks of the Festival: The main objective of the competition-festival is to give opportunity to performers for creative communication, to present new talents and to facilitate acquaintance with pieces of national culture and arts in different countries Tasks: Supports and promotes talented performers and creative formations; Activities Activation of the creative organization and unions, their leaders and pedagogues in the sphere of aesthetic education; Consolidation and development of the cultural connections for further development of the cooperation in the sphere of culture and arts; Formation and increasing of aesthetic interests of the audience; To draw the attention of the government, international, commercial and public organizations towards problems of the creative formations and performers. Participation fee: 1.Adults: 179 EUR The price includes: Accommodation and Food (local alcohol drinks, soft drinks, tea, coffee, mineral water). Use of aqua park, indoor swimming pool, sauna & Turkish Bath. Participation in the Festival Participation diploma 2. Accommodation will be in Eftalia Marin Hotel 5* in Turkler, Alanya (Turkey). Type of Accommodation: Double Room, ALL Inclusive. Discounts: For 22 paying people participants, each 23-rd person is free. For 40 paying participants, each 41-st and 42-nd person is free. Participants in the competition - festival: Participation is granted to non-professional formations and performers in the categories Folklore Dance, Vocal, Instrumental and Choir. There are 2 competition evenings, each with duration 3 hours /17:00 - 20:00/ which will be held in suitable place in Alanya Center. Nominations: 1. Folklore Dance Assessment Criteria: - performer’s mastership – technique of performed movements; - constructional composition of the performance; - compliance of repertoire with performer’s potential; - stageworthy /plastic movements, costumes, requisite, culture of performance/; - selection and compliance of musical and choreographic material; - artistry, revealing of imagery. 2. Vocal Performance Assessment Criteria: - musicality, artistic interpretation of the musical production; - purity of intonation and quality of sound; - beauty of timbre and voice strength; - scenic culture; - repertoire complexity; - compliance of repertoire with performer’s potential; - performer’s mastership. 3. Instrumental Performance Assessment Criteria: - level of command of the instrument; - purity of intonation and musical system; - repertoire complexity; - technical potential of the ensemble performance; - musicality, artistry, artistic interpretation of the musical production; - creative individuality /for soloists/. 4. Choral Performance Assessment Criteria: - musicality, artistic interpretation of the musical production; - purity of intonation and sound quality; - beauty of timbre and voice strength; - scenic culture; - repertoire complexity; - compliance of repertoire with performer’s potential; - performer’s mastership. Competition requirements: The following documents are necessary for participation in the competition: - Sample Application form by the participants; - Brief resume of the participant, program and duration of the performance. - 2 colorful pictures of the formation or soloist in digital format; * The singers perform 2 songs with overall duration no more than 8 minutes. *Choreographic formations perform 2 dances in 1 category with overall duration no more than 8 minutes. * Instrumental Soloists performs 2 productions with maximum duration 3 minutes each. Technical requirements: - The participants submit high quality audio records on CD. - Each audio record should be on a separate carrier with clearly indicated name of the work, composer, lyrics, ensemble name or performer’s name, duration of the work. - The audio record should be set to the beginning of the record. - Singers performing in Playback are not allowed. General conditions: - The Organization Committee prepares and conducts the festival. - The Organization Committee approves the jury in each nominated category, which comprises of leading specialists in culture and arts in the countries which take part in the festival. - The Organization Committee is entitled to use and circulate (without paying author’s payment to the participants and guests of the competition) audio- and video-recordings, printed and other materials, produced during the competition and after its end. - For publication of articles about the formation/ soloists/ on the organizer’s festival website and for preparation of information materials, a data sheet is required which should include artistic biography, interesting facts from formation / soloists/ life, 2 colorful pictures in digital format. - Participants in the festival have the right to advertise their sponsors. Therefore they should submit their sponsor’s logo in digital format, company name and director’s/manager’s name. - Questions which are not answered in the present Regulations are settled by the Organization Committee. Awarding the participants: The Results from the competition and awards are notified separately by nominated categories. In cases that there are no deserving pretenders for ranking prizes – these prized are not awarded. Double ranking is allowed (2 First Places, 2 Second Places, etc) according to the results from the competition. The Program of the Gala-concert is defined by a director-producers group based on the jury decision. The decision of the Jury is final and not subject to change. Technical conference and program fixing. 10.04.2017 (Monday) Free time, sightseeing, preparation for concert program, Concert in Alanya, hotel animation 11.04.2017 (Tuesday) Free time, sightseeing, shopping, rehearsal, preparation for the concert, Concert program, hotel animation. 12.04.2017 (Wednesday) Free time, sightseeing, shopping, beach, evening animation (disco), awarding ceremony. 13.04.2017 (Thursday) Breakfast & Departure. Note: The groups can prepare 2 different programs, 8 minutes each for the concert evenings. We will be glad to see you amongst participants! Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form. Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.
