Moscow is the heart of Russia. It was founded in 1147 by Yuri Dolgoruky. The heart of Moscow is Red Square. The Kremlin and St. Basil's Cathedral are masterpieces of ancient Russian architecture. The main Kremlin tower, the Spasskaya Tower, has become the symbol of the country. On the territory of Kremlin, you can see old cathedrals, the Bell Tower, the Palace of Congress, the Tzar-Cannon and the Tzar-Bell, the biggest cannon and bell in the world. St. Basil's Cathedral was built in the mid-16th century in memory of the victory over Kazan.
Moscow is very huge: more than 40 km from north to south, more than 30 from east to west. It is the largest city in the world. Including the suburbs, it has more than 12 million inhabitants. Moscow is so popular that every day there are more than one million visitors here. Besides, Moscow never sleeps. You are most welcome to visit this amazing city and meet your folk friends in Moscow!
The International music and dance festival “Friends in Moscow” (hereinafter Festival) is held to promote folk art and to present the cultural traditions of different countries and nations. The idea of the festival is the development of national diplomacy and the establishment of friendship and peace on earth through music and dance.
The festival promotes intercultural dialogue and is aimed at developing and strengthening friendly cultural connections between the artists of different states.
We invite children, youth and adult folklore dance groups, choral groups, vocal ensembles, instrumental groups as well as groups from other art styles.
Age of participants from 7 years and older.
Ensembles should perform from 5 to 10 minutes with live music or CD/USB.
The participating group should be ready to teach traditional folkdance to the festival participants/audience during master-class. The whole session lasts up to 45 minutes.
The participating group should be responsible for its own properties, which refer to the personal belongings, music instruments, performing costume and related performing pops.
All participants of the festival live in the park-hotel "Olympiets" ***. The hotel is located on the bank of the Klyazma River. The hotel has an indoor sport pool, a sauna, a gym, pavilions for barbeque, horse-riding, paintball, a football field, a shooting gallery and many other entertainments to relax in the beautiful green park.
Within the framework of the III International Festival of Music and Dance “Friends in Moscow,” anyone can participate in the competition for artistic groups and soloists.

All competitive nominations can be divided into 3 categories:
Stylized (in modern processing);
I. Junior: 7-9 y.o.
II. Middle: 10-12 y.o.
III. Senior: 13-15 y.o.
IV. Youth: 16-39 y.o.
V. Adult: 40 and older
In each age group, the performers of another age are admitted but not more than 30% of the total number of performers.
- Artistic impression (image, disclosure of the content, emotions, artistry)
- Presentation (costume, props, stage direction, selection of repertoire, stage design)
- Difficulty of the performance
Terms of participation:
- Participation in a festival-competition means the participation in one nomination, one age category, one group category.
- The competition program includes the performance of 1 (one) or 2 (two) various works up to 8 minutes total.
- Participants can perform a competition program a capella, with live music, or have soundtracks (-) on a flash drive and on a CD.
- Participants send phonogram of performances by e-mail and also bring phonogram with them on a flash drive or CD. Each track must be recorded in a separate file with the name of the work.
- In competitive performances it is not allowed to use light effects.
To assess competitive performances, a qualified jury composed of cultural and art experts,
representatives of creative and public organizations are created.
The list of jury members is not disclosed prior to the start of the festival.
Chairman of the jury is entitled to 2 votes in the event of dispute.
The jury does not take into account the age, material standing, social class, nationality and place of residence of the contestants - only creativity on absolutely equal terms in accordance with this Regulation.
The jury may decide to cancel the contest on one of the nominations specified in this Regulation or to join the age categories, due to the insufficient number of applications filed.
The jury's decision is final and non-negotiable.
The accumulating of Awarding Foundation is entrusted to the Festival Organizing Committee. Any organization or individual can make charitable contributions to the festival and establish their special awards and prizes.
In each category and age group winners are assigned to Laureates of I, II, III degrees.
The laureates are awarded a cup and a diploma.
The Grand Prix is awarded to only one of the winners of the 1st Prize among children from 7 to 16 years old and one of the winners of the 1st Prize among adults aged over 16, who will get the highest number of votes of jury members, but not less than 51%.
Grand Prix winners are awarded by a cup and Prize of the festival sponsors which might be in cash.
Each ensemble / soloist is awarded a Diploma, each participant of the festival receives a souvenir.
The leaders of groups will receive official Letters of Thanks.

Contribution to the Preservation of Folk Traditions
At the discretion of the jury, the best ensembles may be invited to participate in cultural events and folk festivals both in Russia and foreign countries on a free or preferential basis.
Winners of the festival can be awarded a Certificate of the European Association of Folklore Festivals with a nominal value of 200 to 500 euros, which is used to participate in the European or World Championship of Folklore.
The jury reserves the right not to award prizes and change the number of awards.
Awarding will be held during the Closing ceremony of the festival.
The leaders of groups are required to attend the Closing ceremony of the festival. After closing the festival diplomas and other awards are not available.
178 euro per a person
Participation fee includes:
3 nights’ accommodation in TRPL rooms with all amenities. Each room has its own shower;
Full board (Breakfast, lunch, dinner (set-menu);
Moscow city sightseeing guided tour by bus (Red Square, Arbat street, Vorobyevy hills);
Transportation to the concert venues;
Competition fee for one nomination;
Festival souvenirs and diplomas;
On every 21 participants, one member (group leader) is free of charge.
Participation fee does not include:
Festival package fee doesn’t include price of escort by a coach from airport to the hotel and back. The transfer fee will be billed individually depending on the size of a group, time of arrival and location of a terminal.
For double rooms there is a supplement of 18 € per person per day, for single room 23 € per person per day.
Every participant should cover the expense of the international flight to and from Moscow.
Every participant of the festival must have Travel Insurance to cover medical and accidental coverage during the period of the festival.
Each participating group is responsible for its own visa to Russia.
The date of arrival for participating groups to Moscow is August 16, 2019 preferably to Sheremetyevo airport.
The departure date from Moscow is August 19, 2019.
Participants may extend their stay in Moscow at an extra fee.
For participants who wish to visit the sights of Moscow, it is possible to organize excursions by prior request.

Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.
Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.

As a second step, advanced payment of 30% fee. In case of refusal to participate in the festival 45 days prior the festival the fee is not refund.
The remaining amount is paid in full no later than 45 calendar days before the festival.
If the target contribution is paid by the organization, it is necessary to provide the details of the legal entity. Original documents (invoice, certificate of completion) are provided upon arrival.
