Director: Mr. Rogério Dambros General conditions: The "Mundo em Dança" Folk Festival is hosted by GruPesquisa e AnDanças Sepé Tiaraju and it will be held from March 20, 2026 to March 29, 2026 in Espumoso, RS - Brazil. It is a folklore festival which is filled with dance performances, music concerts and workshops in multiple stages, parades, official visits, cultural exchanges and tours. The shows will be spread between Espumoso and neighbouring towns. Espumoso and surronding towns are fellow in this project and together they are open to diversity of folkloric or traditional manifestation by dance groups from all Brazilians states and foreign countries. The Organizing Committee will have the right to register images (filming and photographs) of the groups and presentations, whose purpose is for institutional records and event advertising, without ensuring the groups and its members rights for the use. Participation: Only Groups Folklore and similar which have been selected after the registration period will be able to participate of the Festival de Folclore Mundo em Dança 2026. Each participating group must not exceed 22 (twenty-two) participants, it including directors, musicians, dancers, support staff and so on. For groups that do not have they own musicians (using playback), the maximum number of components must not exceed 15 (fifteen people). In case of need the delegation may exceed the number of participants, however each extra people will be charged a fee of US$ 130.00 (one hundred and thirty US dollars). Artists and accompanying persons under 13 years old will not be accepted. Registration: With your application form, You have to send us : The group's full name, address, state, country, email address and phone number; Director's full name, identity document, email address and phone number; A brief historic of the group; Three (3) high resolution photographs in JPG format, indispensable for the event's advertising, therefore it is hereby agreed the right of publicity of them; Videos with group’s performance. PS: YouTube link is acceptable. Obligations of the selected group: The selected groups must submit, in advance via e-mail: COMMITMENT LETTER by the deadline of January 10, 2026; REGISTRATION FORM - containing full name, date of birth, identification document or passport number, and role in the group, by the deadline of January 20, 2026.; Travel proof for the group and its members (land or air), within a maximum period until February 28, 2026, under penalty of exclusion from the selection; Description of the group's presentation, in a report between 5 and 20 lines, written in Portuguese, which will be read by the Festival official presenters; List of the instruments to be used by the group and a list of technical needs. In addition, the selected groups must: Bring all the necessary scenic material for your presentation things like folk costumes, musical instruments, etc. Bring 1 (one) Official Flag of your original country or state to be used on protocols, on the show days; Perform presentations on daily basis, in alternating spaces, such as parks, schools, businesses premises, neighborhood towns and also on the main stage as indicated by the organization and official agenda of the Festival de Folclore Mundo em Dança 2026. VERY IMPORTANT: Each group is responsible for the transportation costs from their place of origin to the Festival and also for the return transportation (round trip). If the group comes by land, it must arrive in the city of Espumoso/RS - Brazil by March 20, 2026, and return to its place of origin on March 30, 2026. If the group arrives by air, they should land at Passo Fundo Airport - Lauro Kurtz, in the city of Passo Fundo/RS - Brazil, where there will be ground transportation available to the Festival at no cost to the group. The arrival date at this airport should be on March 20, 2026, and the departure to their place of origin should be on March 30, 2026, by noon. Note: If the group prefers to arrive at another airport (São Paulo or Porto Alegre), the Festival will provide guidance, if needed, to complete the journey by land. In this case, the visiting group will pay for the land transport from the arrival airport to Espumoso/RS. Attention: The World in Dance Folklore Festival is NOT responsible for groups that do not comply with the date, time, and location of arrival established by the Organizing Committee. Attention: We recommend that groups take out health insurance, as we will not be responsible for hospital expenses, such as surgeries and/or the purchase of medications. Organizer provides: Accommodation: For up to 22 (twenty-two) participants of each selected group, except Espumoso residents. The accommodation may be in dormitories or shared accommodation; Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner during the event, with predetermined schedules; From Passo Fundo Airport - Lauro Kurtz, in the city of Passo Fundo/RS - Brazil to the accommodations and vice versa, as well as all transfers to meet the festival's schedule.; Infrastructure: The Festival will provide all basic technical infrastructure (lighting structure, sound structure and dressing-rooms); Guided tours: All guest groups will be accompanied to local sightseeing tours during their stay; Guide or Interpreter: The group will be accompanied from their arrival until their departure of the Festival by a member of the Festival who will serve as a translator to the group’s chosen language, upon its confirmation of registration. Any group, willing to participate, must submit an Application form.
