Director: Mr. Zoran Strezovski With pleasure we INVITE you (folk groups, Choral groups and orchestras, art schools, ballroom dance groups, modern dance groups, majorette teams), (children, youth and adults groups) to participate on International music & folk-dance festival "BUDAPEST MUSIC FESTIVAL" 17 -21 July, Budapest, Hungary 2019 Budapest - is the biggest city and the economic, historic, cultural and touristic capital of Hungary. It is a city on either side of the majestic Danube: Buda, with its romantic streets and alleyways, and Pest, an effervescent cultural center. Budapest is a city of thermal baths, striking turn-of-the-century architecture, classical music, cultural monuments and vibrant nightlife. The main sights in Budapest are the Castle Hill (Várhegy), the Parliament House (Országház) and St. Stephen’s Basilica. Budapest is also known for the ruins of Aquincum, the capital city of the Roman Province of Pannonia. The city has a great atmosphere with nice cafes, spas and the traditional Hungarian hospitality. Often described as the “Little Paris of Middle Europe”, Budapest is famous not only for the monuments reflecting its own 1,000-year-old culture, but also for the relics of others who settled here. Remains from both Roman occupation and much later ruled by the Turks can still be seen in the city. After the Ottoman Empire the union with Austria has a particular influence on the city’s form and style. Budapest has a lot to offer. Museums and galleries, churches and synagogues, palaces and historic buildings, baths and pools are presented together with the influence of Secession in the city. There is an unmistakable feeling that something out of the ordinary is just around the corner, but what it will be is up to you to find out… General rules: The festival is a non-competitive sample of traditional and modern dances, choral groups, brass bands, orchestras and majorette teams. Every Folklore ensemble, Choral group, modern dance group, brass bands, orchestras and majorette Teams has the right to participate. Children's ensembles (2/3 of the participants must be 16 or younger), Youth ensembles (2/3 of the participants must be 25 or younger), adult ensembles (1/3 of the participants must be older than 25). On the festival may participate folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, vocal groups, instrumental groups and soloists, as well as groups and performers from other art styles. The number of participants is limited (only 3 groups from each country), Each group should consist from 20 till 60 members including dancers, managers and musicians. Ensemble should have prepared at least 2 dances, total program of 12 minutes each with orchestra or USB. The performances will be in the evening hours so you can plan the day ahead and use it for visiting the historical part of the city. First Aid and Medical Hospital will be available, medical services must be covered by the group. On your request, You can continue your stay in Budapest. Price will be 39 Euro per day per person FB – price is special for the participants in festivals that we can provide. After Groups arrived in Hotel will be given detailed program of the festival and each group will have guide during festival. After the festival finish organizers will send you DVD from the festival program for each group and photos. The copy right of all video materials and pictures are ownership of the Organization of the Festival. We can arrange bus transfer from the airport to the hotel for the groups which arrive with plane and it is paid additional. Number of seats is limited on 450 participants or 12 groups. Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form. Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.
