Namaste!! We Welcome you to our country of diverse Cultures, Festivals, Colours, Languages, Dance and Music – INDIA. Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay) is the capital city of the state of Maharashtra in India. It is the second most populous metropolitan of India, with a population of 21.3 million as per the latest survey. Also known as the commercial capital of India it houses the highest number of millionaires and billionaires. Mumbai is an eclectic and cosmopolitan Indian city symbolized by the presence of Bollywood, the centre of the globally-influential Hindi film and TV industry. The heart of the city is marked with some of the grandest colonial-era architecture, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites - the Elephanta Caves, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, and the city's distinctive ensemble of Victorian and Art Deco buildings. It doesn’t end there…. it is home to unique bazaars, hidden temples, hipster enclaves and India’s premier restaurants and nightlife.

Festival Description

"Shitij-A Global Confluence" is an initiative of Maya Global Events, that proposes to bring in cultural groups from around the globe to India, for a Global Confluence of Dance and Music. Shitij means Horizon – where land meets earth, dance meets
music, where the barriers of different cultures, religion and language ends between people – This CONFLUENCE … is the essence of SHITIJ.

Performance Details

  • Groups from all over the worlds can take part in this festival. Folk dance groups, choirs, orchestras can apply.
  • The number of participants is not limited. No age limits.
  • The Group should perform 3-4 different folk dances of 10 to15minutes each with live music or recorded music at provided venues.
  • Venues for performances will include open-air stages, theatres, halls, auditoriums or scenic spots without special stage facilities or lighting equipment.
  • Each Group should provide 1 workshop in the festival.
  • The group has to take part in all programs, the festival organizers made its whole period and do not undertake any other performances, during the festival period they have no right to cancel any program without any approval from the Festival Committee.
  • National costume of their state can be stylized
  • All the groups should carry their national flags.
  • Each group should 12-15 small gifts to exchange.
  • To confirm participation the group has to complete application form. Please provide some photographs, videos or brief history of the group which will be used for promotional and advertising purpose.
  • After receiving the application form and completion of advance payment the organizer will send an official letter of invitation for participation at the festival.


  • Groups will stay in 3star hotels FB (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Participation fee

  • 220 Euro per person 3star FB, triple sharing.
  • 270 Euro per person 4star FB, triple sharing

Participation fee includes

  • Organizational expenses.
  • Diplomas for each group.
  • Accommodation in a 3 Star/4star Hotel with 3 meals per day. (Open buffet reakfast, Lunch and dinner. Free nonalcohol drink)
  • 4-night Accommodation: Arrival on 6th November by 12:00 noon (after breakfast) and departure on 10th November by 12:00 noon (after breakfast)
  • On every 25 participants one member is free of charge (25+1 free)
  • For double rooms there is a supplement of 20 € per person per day, for single room 25 € per person per day.
  • Mumbai airport transfers and transfers to performance venues.

Participation fee does nоt include

  • Each group should cover the travelling expenses of their international flight expenses for the round-trip.
  • Every member of the group has to have Travel Insurance which should include your medical and accidental coverage during the period of the festival.
  • Extra expenses, such as expenses in the hotel for beverages, laundry, room service, long distance calls.
  • Optional Sightseeing.

Festival Rights

  • The festival reserves the right for radio-TV and video-recording, copy-rightwithout paying any honorarium.
  • Тhe Festival organizing committee has the right to change the schedule of the program at any time during the festival.
  • By applying you confirm that you accept all festival conditions. All detailed information will be supplied after your confirmation for participation.

Festival Program:

6th Nov 2019: Arrival of the groups and check in the hotel. Technical conference with all leaders of the groups to discuss the program of the festival.
7th Nov 2019: Free time (optional tour at extra cost). Opening of the ceremony of the festival and concert of all the groups.
8th Nov 2019: Free day (optional sightseeing can be arranged at extra cost)
9th Nov 2019: Workshops, Closing ceremony and concert by all the groups.
10th Nov 2019: Departure of the groups after breakfast.

Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.
Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted from the final payment. The rest of the amount is to be paid as decided by the festival.
