Annual international festivals and competitions are the knowledge of a new creative path, the international exchange of ideas and experience, the strengthening of friendly ties between children and youth.
International Festival-Competition "Slavic wreath"
At the International Festival-competition are invited children's, teenage groups and soloists of the Slavic republics, CIS countries and Europe. To show your skills and get to know the creativity of other children, to exchange creative experience in choreography, to find many new friends - these are the main goals of the organizers of the festival-contest. Children with disabilities are also invited to the festival in order to promote the development of art as a means of rehabilitation and social adaptation. Hospitable Bulgarian land invites everyone to a holiday of arts.
Children and adolescents will not only actively participate in the very process of the festival, but also relax on the beautiful Black Sea coast of Bulgaria.
Well, for those who just came to "cheer up" for their children, the festival "Slavic wreath" will remain a bright, colorful holiday of a unique summer!
The festival is being held at the International Youth Center ALBATROS – Hotel ROSITSA - St. St. Constantine and Helena (Summer 2020)

The main goal of the Festival are:

  • Development of Slavic culture and strengthening of interethnic cooperation.
  • Acquaintance with the best creative teams, establishment of creative contacts between teams, exchange of experience of participating countries in the artistic education of children, adolescents and youth.
  • Creation of conditions for support and development of children's and youth's creativity.
  • Involvement of leading culture specialists and outstanding artists in cooperation with children's and teenage groups.
  • Increase of professional skills and qualifications of managers and teachers, creative teams and performers.

Conditions of participation in the Festival – Competition /Summer 2020/

  • The festival involves children's, teenage groups and individual performers from 7 to 85 years in the nominations of vocal, choreography, instrumental, theatrical and original genres, arts and crafts.

  • Theatrical genre / Amateur collectives of all directions of theatrical art can take part in the competition/
    • The teams present small stage scenes, solo performances, and sketches, scenes from plays or plays that have a compositionally finished character for the competition.
    • The age groups are not divided.
  • Criteria for evaluation
    • completeness and expressiveness of the disclosure of the theme of the work;
    • the disclosure and brightness of artistic images, the performing level;
    • scenic /plastic, costume, performance culture/;
    • artistic design of the play, props;
    • Diction actors;
    • Correspondence of the repertoire to the age characteristics of performers.
  • Decorative and applied arts /artistic embroidery; hand-made, tapestry, patchwork, art knitting, painting on fabric, painting on wood and glass, artistic processing of wood: wood carving, incrustation, willow rods, birch bark products, artistic processing of the skin, beading , decorative toys (textiles), knitted, artistic metal processing (sculpture of small forms, jewelry, embossing, forging), folk toy from clay, MOTANKA doll, pottery, plasmin and polymer clay products, floral, origami and, quilling, scrapbooking; felting /.

Mini-exhibitions and master classes are planned during the festival.

  • Criteria for evaluation
    • creative individuality and mastery of the author, possession of the chosen technique;
    • reflection of the declared topic;
    • preservation and use of folk traditions in the works presented;
    • Innovation and originality;
    • high level of skill, artistic taste, technique of performance;
    • correspondence of work to the age of students;
    • Aesthetic appearance of the product (product design).

The work made as per finished schemes, patterns, drawings, on factory or other replicated samples is not accepted for the festival!

COMPETITIVE REQUIREMENTS

To participate in the contest, it is necessary to submit the following documents to the organizing committee: a questionnaire of participants under the attached form.
The information should be sent to the organizing committee electronically, no later that 10 days prior to the beginning of the Festival.

  • Vocalists /soloists, duets, ensembles/ perform one piece (2nd and 3rd work is subject to a surcharge fee) with a total duration of no longer than 4 minutes.
  • Choreographic collectives perform one dance in one nomination (2nd and 3rd work is subject to a surcharge fee) with a total duration of no longer than: 5 minutes.
  • Soloists instrumentalists perform one work (2nd and 3rd work is subject to a surcharge fee) with a total duration no longer than: 4 minutes.
  • Collectives of the original genre perform one composition with a total duration no longer than 5 minutes. (2nd and 3rd work are subject to a surcharge fee)
  • Collectives of the theatrical genre perform one work with a total duration no longer than 10 minutes. (2nd and 3rd work are subject to a surcharge fee)
  • Decorative and applied arts - From each author is accepted no more than 5 works, from the collective - no more than 10 works. To publish in the catalog, the participant's photo should be sent along with the application. The photo should present the participant at work.
  • The works must be designed and ready to be exhibited. On the back of the exhibit there must be a label attached.
  • All genres must have works prepared outside the competition program for the opening / closing of the festival (participation in the opening and closing of the festival is free of charge and at the request of the participant / collective)

AWARDING OF PARTICIPANTS

  • The results of the competition and awards are held by the categories separately, taking into consideration the age categories. The Grand Prix, three prize places, as well as diplomas and special prizes are planned to be awarded.
  • If there is a situation when there are no worthy candidates for the Grand Prix and prizes - these places are not awarded.
  • It is allowed to duplicate the prize places / the first two places, the second, etc. / according to the results of the competition.
  • The program of the Gala concert is determined by the director and the production team based on the jury’s decision.
  • The jury's decision is final and is not subject of change!
  • Teams have the opportunity for free:
    • to appear at a gala concert on the professional stage in Golden Sands resort;
    • to form a duet or dance with the members of the jury - Honored artists (at the artist's choice)
    • to attend vocal and choreography master classes conducted by professionals;
    • to express themselves at the opening and closing of the festival (outside the competition program);
    • to participate in a professional concert with the stars;
    • to participate in a flash mob;
    • to compete for valuable prizes: Jury Prize, Tural Prize, Grand Prix, songwriting by a star, and free participation in various festivals in Georgia, Ukraine

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1.  All songs must be recorded on a high quality flash media.
  2. Each sound record must be on a separate flash media with the name of the work, the name of the ensemble or the name of the performer, as well as the duration of the respective work.
  3. The soundtrack must be sent in advance to info@tural.bg not later than 3 days before the beginning of the festival (as well as carry it with you on the day of the performance).
  4. Vocalists with "+" phonograms are not allowed
  5. The application must indicate whether a breakdown of the implementation is required or whether it will be carried out in one block
  6. All applications must be sent no later than 10 days before the beginning of the festival

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS,

  1. Preparation and holding of the festival is carried out by the organizing committee.
  2. The Organizing Committee approves the composition of the jury for each nomination, which is formed from the leading experts of culture and art of the countries taking part in the Festival.
  3. The Organizing Committee has the right to use and distribute / without payment of fees to the participants and guests of the competition / audio and video recordings, printed and other kinds of products made during the competition and in results.
  4. Each collective must have the appropriate number of accompanying 1 leader for every 15 children, who should have notarized permission of both parents to leave the child abroad and who bear full responsibility for the safety of life and health of children.
  5. Failure to comply with the terms of this Regulation entails the exclusion from participation in the festival.
  6. All matters not covered by this Regulation shall be at the responsibility of the Organizing Committee and shall be decided by it.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • The organizers reserve the right to take photos and videos during the festival and to distribute them.
  • Team Leaders are responsible for the health and safety of their participants.
  • Applying for the competition implies acceptance of the terms of the Festival Ordinance.
  • The participants of the festival are accommodated at the venue of the festival (Bulgaria) at their own expense.
  • All issues not mentioned in this regulation are decided by the organizers of the festival.
  • Organizers reserve the right to change the competition program, with a promptly notification of the participants.

PARTICIPATION FEE

  • 135 Euro per person, including 7 days and 4 meals per day.
    • Participaion fee: € 25 / person for individual performers or groups of up to 5 people
    • Participaion fee: € 20 / person for group performers of 6 people up.
    • N.B. Second, third… participation is extra paid - 10 euro / person.
    • Fee includes festival participation, technical support /set design, sound, lighting, preliminary preparation, conditions for creative meetings /.

Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.
Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.
