Katerini is a town and municipality in northern Greece, situated between Mt. Olympus and the Thermaikos Gulf.
A popular tourist destination in northern Greece, Katerini is close to the sea and to several archaeological sites of great interest such as the ancient city of Dion (5th century BC, 17 km away), the ancient Leivithra (27 km away) and the Castle of Platamon. The beaches of Korinos, Paralia and Olympiaki Akt (olimpic beach) are visited by many foreign tourists during the Summer. The base of Mount Olympus and the town of Litochorno, are at a distance of around 20 km from the centre of Katerini,
Just 8 km from the town of Katerini will find the village Paralia, known as Paralia of Katerini. Situated near the shores of Thermaikos Gulf, behind a long beach, has become a popular tourist resort with hotels, restaurants and entertainment centers.
The village of Olympiaki Akti (Olympic Beach), just 8 km from the town of Katerini is a cosmopolitan tourist destination every summer thousands of visitors. The organized sandy beach, which stretches for several kilometers, is being awarded every year with the blue flag of Europe. It has all the necessary infrastructure, such as sports facilities, water sports, footpaths, access for disabled, parking, doctor.
In Olympic Beach, you will find hotels and inns, restaurants and taverns and rich nightlife give you wonderful feelings.. It is connected to the beach Paralia with seaside avenue, cycle track and sidewalk.

1st period: 4 July - 9 July 2021
2nd period: 9 July - 14 July 2021
Conditions and rules of the festival:

Festival is not competitive and groups from all over the world can take part in this festival.

Folk dance groups, modern dance groups, choirs, vocal groups, majorette teams, brass bands and orchestras are welcome to apply.

The number of participants and quests is not limited.

On the festival can participate children groups, adults and youth with no limitation
-
Program in life or on USB and must be 12 – 14 minutes duration
-
Group must have flag from own country and it is good to have display with the name and country ( for defile)
-
Need up to 5 quality photos of ensemble for promotional purposes
-
Ensemble should send us rooming list one month before the festival start
-
All groups will be accommodate in hotel apartments in Paralia and Olimpic beach
Program:
Day 1
12.00- 14.00 Coming in Paralia and hotel accommodation (welcome of the group with director of the festival – explain detail program and excursions)
19.00-21.00 Dinner
21.00 Meeting with all leaders of the group (get to know gather, present their ensemble ,round table)
Day 2
07 – 10.00 Breakfast in selected hotels
10.00 – 16.00 Excursions (optional – one of the excursions that we offer) or free beach time
17.00 – 19.00 Dinner
20.00 – 23.00 Festival parade and festival evening on the square in Olimpic beach ( guides will come in hotels and take you – walking on the parade trough the city and festival evening 12-14 minute program )
After finished the program overnight in hotels
Day 3
07 – 10.00 Breakfast in selected hotels
10.00 – 17.00 Excursions (optional – one of the excursions that we offer) or free beach time
17.00 – 19.00 Dinner
20.00 – 23.00 Festival parade and second festival evening in Paralia squere ( guides will come in hotels and take you – walking on the parade trough the city and festival evening 12-14 minutes program)
After finished the program overnight in hotels
Day 4
07 – 10.00 Breakfast in selected hotels
10.00 – 17.00 Excursions (optional – one of the excursions that we offer) or free beach time
17.00 – 19.00 Dinner
20.00 – 23.00 Festival workshop with all participants – let know the different dances ( each ensemble will show their dance and other will learn that dance )also exchange presents and giving certificates to the leaders of the group (for the groups that will stay 3 night the certificates and present will be given on the stage after performance)
After finished the program overnight in hotels
Day 5
07 – 10.00 Breakfast in selected hotels
10.00 – 17.00 Excursions (optional – one of the excursions that we offer) or free beach time
17.00 – 19.00 Dinner
20.00 – 23.00 Closing Party with all participants in discotheque in Paralia (party for good bay)
Day 6
07 – 10.00 Breakfast in selected hotels
11.00 Leaving the hotels and departure
Participation fee:
-
84 euro per person for 3 nights with 2 meals per day ( 3HB)
-
106 euro per person for 4 nights with 2 meals per day (4 HB)
-
125 euro per person for 5 nights with 2 meals per day (5HB)
Hotel accommodation in hotel apartments in Paralia and Olimpic beach like London, Kronos, Katerina, Phenixand other hotels apartments like those. For drivers and leaders will be provide 2/2 rooms and other participants will be in triple and quadruple rooms.
If you need more double rooms on selected hotels (on request and if it is available) than it will be additional 10 euro per person per day and for single (on request and if it is available) will be 17 euro per person
On 25 person one is gratis and on 50 people will be 2 gratis. (24+1; 48+2)
Tourist tax in Greece is 0.50 euro per person per day and it is additional to pay.
Excursions in Paralia are : all day Pirate Boat trip with lunch , 13 euro, per person, Bus trip to Meteori(with own bus thetourist guide is 80 euro), Bus trip to Tessaloniki, ( with own bus tourist guide is 70 euro)
Participation fee includes:

Half board accommodation in selected hotel apartments (meals are served)

Participation in the festival concerts,

Welcome drinks for leaders of the group

Present and certificate for the group

Drinks (water) for the dancers during the performance

The groups should have their transport to the city of Katerini ,

Bus parking is free

The groups which arrive by plane on the airport of Tessalonici we can organize the transfer and it is additional paid

Groups should have their insurance

Additional HB in hotel apartments is 26 euro per person
Any group willing to participate must submit an Application form.
Approved groups pay in advance a 10% guarantee fee, which is to be deducted at the final payment.
