Hello, I am Gülnaz Yılmaz Olguncan, a vocalist, lyricist, composer, painter, and writer. I am a multidisciplinary artist living in Istanbul. I combine the ancient melodies of Anatolia, the mystical spirit of the East, and the contemporary melodies of the West in my music. Just like the city I live in, I connect two continents through music. My single album, "Şahidim İstanbul" (My Witness Istanbul), for which I wrote the lyrics, is an alternative rock tribute to the history, spirit, and my love for Istanbul. Istanbul has seen saints, scholars, prophets, and sultans; empires have been built upon it. None of them are dead; it stands armored on its seven hills. Its mosques, churches, synagogues, palaces, inns, and baths keep the records of history. Istanbul is located at a point connected to centers where very high-level cosmic planets are situated. Furthermore, positive ley lines connecting East and West pass through Istanbul. Because Istanbul is like an energy generator. For hearts that can feel, there is great spiritual power in Istanbul. Not everyone can feel this broadcast, and those who do can never escape it. As I described in my song; I received support and strength from Eyüp Sultan, from the Galata Tower, its soil, its material and spiritual essence, which are truly as precious as gold. My belief in love was as great as Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror's belief that he would conquer Istanbul. And love won. Love always wins.
