Malaysia Petaling Jaya, SELANGOR IG : @jemaritari Jemari Tari of Taman Megah Primary School from the city of Petaling Jaya, Malaysia is a traditional dance group founded by parents in 2017 and has become an official co-curricular activity supported by the school. For a school that never had a dance group since its existence 30 years ago, the emergence of Jemari Tari was indeed a breath of fresh air. Though struggling in the beginning to form a decent team, Jemari Tari now consists of more than 20 highly dedicated dancers ages 7 to 12, and have sent more than one team for some competitions and shows. The team has since participated in numerous competitions, local and international, winning trophies, medals and cash prizes. The boys and girls of Jemari Tari have also been featured on TV shows and have been invited to perform in many festive and wedding receptions. A close-knit family of dancers, dedicated parents, and choreographers, Jemari Tari is indeed a celebrated bunch by the teachers and students alike.
