The Third edition of the World Championship of Folklore “World Folk 2013” will again be hosted by the Bulgarian Southern Black Sea coast. This year one of the most attractive folklore forums will be held from 22 to 1 September in four resorts of the Burgas region. This year edition is expected to include more than 100 collectives from Bulgaria, Georgia, Armenia, Malaysia, Egypt, Turkey, Abkhazia, Macedonia, Indonesia, Croatia, Russia, Belarus, Mongolia, and the participants - to exceed 2300 people. During 10 days the stages will be located in Burgas, Nesebar, Pomorie and St. Vlas.The program of the championship is very intense, and the participants will present attractive and varied repertoires. Organizers of the event are: the World Association of Folklore Festivals - WAFF, the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF, World Folklore Academy, as well as the municipalities of Burgas, Nesebar and Pomorie. World Folk 2013 is held with the support of UNESCO. Media partners of the cultural event are: Internet Television Eurofolk TV and the publications "Black sea headlight", "Factor", "Burgas today and tomorrow." The World Championship of Folklore 2013 will be officially open on 23 August from 20:00 h on the open stage "Ohlyuva" (The Snail) in the Sea Garden of Burgas. Professional jury, chaired by Prof. Nikolay Kravtsov, Dean of the Faculty of folk instruments at the State University of art and culture in Saint Petersburg, during 10 days will evaluate the collectives, as these evaluations are valid for ranking in the World ranking list of folklore. The criteria that the collectives will be assessed by are: quality, complexity of the dance compositions, stage presence and vision.On its final meeting on August 31, the jury will determine the top three compositions as they will be awarded on a special ceremony on the same day evening in the Amphitheater "Arena" in the resort Sveti Vlas, during the gala concert. Traditionally, an Absolute world champion for year 2013 will be distinguished. For the best collective, besides the prestigious distinction “Golden Orpheus”, is provided also a money prize of 1000 Euro.
