The III World Championship “World folk 2013” was officially opened on August 23 in the evening in the city of Burgas. On the open stage "Ohlyuva" (The Snail) in the Sea garden from 16:00 h began the contest competition between Bulgarian and foreign singing, dancing and chanting formations for authentic and processed folklore for the title of Absolute World Champion 2013. On stage performed singing and dancing groups from the ethnographic regions of Pleven, Dobrich, Sofia, Plovdiv, Haskovo, Burgas. The First nomination "Golden Orpheus" has been grabbed by Trio "Manista" at Municipality of Burgas with art director Veselin Todorov. They presented themselves with 12 performances - duets and individually, as among them were the popular songs "Hubava si moya goro", "Tragnala e malka moma" and others. Exactly at 20:00 h the official start of the World championship was given. On behalf of the Municipality Mrs. Lyudmila Kutieva, director of the Cultural Center "Sea Casino”, welcomed both participants and organizers. The Mayor of Burgas Mr. Dimitar Nikolov sent a basket of flowers for the event. From the side of the organizers the President of EAFF Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov congratulated all Bulgarian and foreign collectives participating in the Third edition of the World Championship. In the evening program hundreds of citizens of Burgas and guests of the South Seaside enjoyed the performances of the foreign groups. They applauded the Orchestra of Folk Instruments from the city of Lida, Belarus, the Ensemble of folk instruments "Gunda" from Suhum, “Maratuk” Ensemble from Armenia and the Folklore Group "Domog” from Ulan Bator, Mongolia.
