Nearly 60 folklore formations and collectives will participate in the X International Folklore Festival “Euro Folk – Black Sea 2014”, which will be held from 17th till 22nd June in Kiten and Primorsko. About 45 of them are the groups from all ethnographic regions of Bulgaria while the rest of the participants are groups from Romania, Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ukraine, and Poland. The festival program includes a total of four concerts with 5 hour duration.The official opening of the festival is appointed for 18th July from 19:00 o’clock on the stage of the Sea garden in Kiten, and the closing will be at the evening of 21st June. The Folklore Festival “Euro Folk – Black sea 2014” is organized by Euro Folk Academy, Balkan Folk Academy and is under the aegis of the European Association of Folklore Festivals EAFF. Host of the forum are the towns of Kiten and Primorsko. By tradition all of the concert performances are recorded with professional audio and video technology and the best of them are broadcasted in more than 25 cable television in Bulgaria, on 4 satellite televisions with air over entire Europe. The highest award is “Orpheus” Grand Prix. The best performances are honored with first prizes “Orpheus” in 6 genre categories and 2 age groups. The awards chosen by the jury, which follows procedure rules. All of the winners receive a sign of honor. The prominent groups will receive also certificates for laureates of “Euro Folk”. Under the opinion of the jury and the producers Euro Folk Academy, prominent performers and artistic directors are granted with Diploma for receiving of the title Maestro or Maestro Academic. These diplomas are sent to the Municipality mayors with request for awarding in appropriate way.
