This year, the VI European Championship of Folklore „Euro folk 2014” will gather at the South Bulgarian Black Sea Coast more than 70 collectives and individual performers from dozens of European countries. The Championship begins on 3 July and will continue until 13 July 2014 and this year the scenes will be in Nessebar, Burgas and St. Vlas.Traditionally, the Municipalities of Burgas, Nessebar and Pomorie are partners of the organizers from the European Association of Folklore Festivals – EAFF and from Euro Folk Academy. Media partner of the Campionship is the internet television „Eurofolk TV”. The official opening of the forum will take place on 4 July at 19:30 in the Amphitheater of the Old Nessebar, and the official closure – on 12 July at 20:00, on the same scene. The competition program includes six concerts with a duration of 4-5 hours each, and accompanying events such as parade, evening of the friendship, meetings, etc.The competent jury with chairman Maestro Georgi Yankov, will use the evaluation system of the World Association of Folklore Festivals – WAFF. The Grand Prix of the Championship is Golden "Orpheus", Golden medal and a diploma for Absolute European Championship of Folklore for 2014. By tradition, the winner will receive a check for 1000 Euro. The collectives on second and third place will receive respectively Silver and Bronze „Orpheus”. The organizers have provided more accolades and prizes: golden, silver and bronze medals, diplomas for laureates, diplomas for discovery of the Championship, diplomas for the preservation and development of folk, for continuity between generations and more. The jury will award the best groups with a recommendation for particioation in the upcoming editions of the World Championship of Folklore “World folk”. At the discretion of the jury and the producers Euro Folk Academy, the most distinguished art directors will be honored with Diploma for obtaining the title Maestro or Maestro Academic.
