Five are the nominated groups for Grand Prix Golden “Orpheus” at the VI European Championship of Folklore “Euro Folk 2014” until 6 July. All of them received a nominations for Golden “Orpheus” and will compete for the title “Absolute European champion of Folklore for 2014” and for the award of 1000 Euro. One of the Bulgarian participants totally won the high scores of the jury and that is Folklore Ensemble “Gadulitsa” from Kazalnak. The performers from Kazanlak deserved their nomination, as they are winners of this years title “Absolute national Bulgarian champion of folklore”. The performers from Dance Ensemble “Kaskad” from Russia, also won the jury and the audience with their virtuoso performances. Two ensembles from Latvia - „BDA Teiksmiņa Teiksmas“ studio and „AVE SOL“ musical organization, both from Riga, were also nominated for Golden “Orpheus”. The other nomination for Golden “Orpheus” went to the performers from Moldova – to the children's ensemble from Călărași at Regional house of Culture.The VI European championship of folklore „Euro folk 2014” started on 3 July and will continue until 13 July, as traditionally, the Municipalities of Burgas, Nessebar and Pomorie are partners of the organizers from the European Association of Folklore Festivals – EAFF and Euro Folk Academy.Over 70 folklore groups and individual participants from dozens of countries take part in the festival. The official opening of the forum took place on 4 July, as it was preceded by a parade of the folklore performers in the streets of Nessebar. The president of EAFF – Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov welcomed the participants and officially opened championship. Next concerts will take place on 10 July – on the stage “Snail” in Burgas, on 11 July – on the stage “Arena” in Sveti Vlas and on 12 July – on the stage of the Amphitheatre in Nessebar.
