Three nominations for Golden “Orpheus” were granted until the 25 August by the international jury of the IV World Championship of Folklore “World folk 2014”, which is held on the stages of Saint Vlas, Burgas and Obzor. The highest distinction received “Ot izvora” at 74-th Secondary school „Gotse Delchev ” - Sofia, Leo Mokodompit, individual performer from Jakarta, Indonesia and the Mandolin orchestra from Dugo selo, Croatia. The nominated received golden medals and the titles „World Champion of Folklore 2014”, as they will compete in the second selection of the Championship for the title „Absolute World Champion of Folklore 2014”, for Grand Prix Golden “Orpheus”, for check for the amount of 1000 Euro. The jury will grant also golden, silver and bronze medals. Among the golden medalists are the vocal group „Srednogorski slavei“ from Pirdop; the group „Denitsa“ from Mokrishte village, the group for Authentic folklore „Kalushari“ from Harlets village, Kozloduy municipality; the Bellbearers group from Otets Paisievo village, Kaloyanovo municipality and more. 30 musical formations and soloists took part in the second concert of the Championship on the stage of Amphitheatre “Arena” in Saint Vlas. The University ensemble from Makasar, Indonesia performed with an attractive dance from the mountain region Taraya.In front of the numerous audiences with beautiful dance performances appeared the dance ensemble "Danko" from Moscow, Russia. The orchestra of Esvahan, Iran performed a program of traditional music plays from their homeland, and the young Tambourine players by Dugolli village, Croatia once again proved that they are virtuosos of musical instruments. Later in the program the Musical ensemble "Garuda" from Jakarta took part, performing music and songs from the province of Papua, the Eastern part of Indonesia. The audience of the concert were delighted by the dances of dance ensemble "Gantari Gta Khatulistiwa", also from Jakarta. The performers presented bunch of authentic dances, dating back to the XVII century, Western province of Sumatera. The main movements were inspired by the Indonesian martial arts that symbolize the deepest connection between man and God. The third concert of the Championship took place on 24 August on the “Ohliuva” / “The Snail” Stage in the Sea Garden of Burgas. The concert started with the Indonesian groups from Jakarta and Makasar, who showed their musical and dance composition and rituals from different regions of their country. Favorites of the audience became the virtuoso dancers from the Russian capital Moscow, and the musicians from Esvahan, Iran. The mandoline orchestra from Dugo Selo, Chroatia, marked their third and final participation for this edition of the Championship. The ensemble from Golyamo Belovo village presented itself with the custom “Gergiovden”. The children collectives from Ihtiman performed „Enyovden“ and some dances from the Shopian ethnographic region. The gifted accordionists from Dimitrovi Duo, Veliko Tarnovo, fascinated the audience with complex musical plays from the worl classics. In the ten-day musical forum will take part dozens of folk ensembles. The organizers expect the arrival of collectives from Armenia, Turkey, Georgia, Bulgaria and others countries, who will participate in the competition in the next days of the Championship. Seven concerts with duration of 5-6 hours will be held in different towns of Burgas region. The next concert is on 26 August at the Amphitheater of Obzor at 16.30, where participants from Bulgaria and foreign folk groups from all musical genres will perform.
