The representative of the Caucasian Association of international festivals, Hayk Mkhоyan from Armenia was among the artists of Stara Planina Fest "Balkan Folk 2015", which takes place from 7th to 17th of May in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. There was also his manager - Arman Gukasyan. Simultaneously with the 19th edition of the festival is held VI Bulgarian National Championship of Folklore “Euro Folk 2015”, which is a competition.
Hayk Mkhоyan is a graduate of the State Conservatory "Komitas" Yerevan. After his exciting presentation at the Festival contractor was announced by the jury for "Discovery of the Championship" and was awarded with a gold medal, honorary certificates and diplomas.
Songs performed by Hayk are folklore and mainly to the large Armenian composers Komitas and Babadzhanyan. In the scene in the old Bulgarian capital the young artist sang inspirinig about the price of freedom and Armenian heroes, wrapped in his native flag.
In front of the organizers of the festival and the team of EuroFolk TV, Hayk said that he is natured with the love of music - from his father and grandfather whose musical traditions he continues. When he was at 10 was his first appearance on stage. He has produced six solo concerts and performances in more than 200 joint. In 2010 he issued the first disc with his songs.
He is in Bulgaria for the second time. In 2014 he participated in a competition in Varna and won the first place. According to his words, his impressions of this festival is more than good and would come again as a performer in Bulgaria.
