Dance Group "Tangra" from Popintsi village, Bulgaria is the new Absoliute European Champion of folklore for 2015. The extremely talented dancers won the Grand Prix Golden "Orpheus" and the prize award of 1000 Euro. The jury chose them unanimously andcategorically between the 6 nominated groups in the Seventh edition of European Championship of Folklore, which was held from 2nd to 12th of July in three bulgarian Black sea resorts - St. Vlas, Pomorie and Burgas. The students of Maria Terziyska for the first time participated in this folklore forum, which are taking part each year in our coastal towns. They presented four dances - "Dobroshko horo"; Classical children performance "Ela, Marto" with a libretto by custom "Blagovets"; Spring girl's dance from the repertoire of Ensemble "Trakia" - choreography by Daniela Dzheneva and "Shopski ritmi" from the repertoire of Choreographic Ensemble of Ivan Kochev, Pazardzhik. "The success comes when the support is full - both moral and financial. The kids are the emblem of our village and we are proud of them, we will continue supporting them and be with them", said Mrs. Donka Shopova - the secretary of "Iskra 1872" Community centre in front of the camera of Euro Folk TV. The advice of Mrs. Maria Terziyska to all who want to succeed, is to work hard and do it with love. "The most valuable is that the child will gain physical technique and mental endurance. In the training hall we create personalities" saidconvincingly the choreographer. And the result is the proof of her words. 8-years-old Monika Terzieva - soloist in the ensemble became one of the Discoveries of the Championship. The performers from Dance Group "Hubavenka" from "Svetlina" Community centre in Hubavene village, municipality of Roman won the Silver "Orpheus" and the second place. Their art director is Ivaylo Donev. Honorary third place and bronze "Orpheus" deserved the participants from "Valchinitseniy" from the High school of Valchinets, Valchinetsvillage, Calarasi district, Moldova with art director Georgiy Furkulitsa. The special award of the main media partner of the event - Internet Television Euro Folk was given to Folklore Vocal Group "Valshebni zvutsi" at "Zora 1990" Community centre from Pobeda village, Dolna Mitropoloya Municipality. The charming ladies from the group aredescendants of settlers from different parts of Bulgaria. Each of them was wearing a characteristic costume for the ethnographic regionand their performances reflected the unique and specific features and characteristics in the music and culture for these regions. The awards were presented to the winners on the last day of the folklore cempetition by the President of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov, who officially closed the event. 70 groups and individual performers took part in the VII European Championship of Folklore "Euro Folk". Depending on the complexity, quality, appearance and scenic presence of the performers the jury adjudged golden, silver and bronze medals. The best performers were awarded with Invitations for participation at the World Championship of Folklore, which will be held from 20th to 30th of August in the resorts Nessebar, Sunny Beach, Burgas, Obzor and St.Vlas, Bulgaria.
