4 August 2015 Championships
For the first time in the program of the World Championship of Folklore "World Folk 2015" are included two other events, which give opportunity to musicians and singers (amateurs and professionals) to participate in an amazing adventure.
Master Class "Accordion of Kravtsov" will take place in Nessebar from 20th to 25th of August.
The system is new, developed by professor Nikolay Kravtsov from Russia. It has been presented in Musikmesse 99 (Frankfurt). The system was invented to open up the chromatic accordion repertoire to piano accordion players. There are for rows (or maybe 3 1/2). The keys are hexagonal and as seen in the layout below, some keys are connected and forms double sized keys.
Nikolay Kravtsov is Honored Artist of Russia, Professor, PhD in Art History, Dean of the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts, the winner of the "Golden Book of Motherland".
The second Master Class of "Throat singing - khoomii" will be held within the whole period of the World Championship - from 20th to 30th of August in Nessebar.
Khoomii is wonderful art of breathing. To make good sound of throat singing one should learn good and right method of breathing. Khoomii is one of the folklore heritages of nomadic Mongolians. It is generated over hundreds years.
Teacher of the five classes of khoomii will be the teacher Mr. Mendbayar Jargalsaikhan. He graduated Cultural University of Mongolia. He is one of first professional throat singers in Mongolia and winner of Grand Prix of International Throat Singing Contest “Singing through wind”, held in 2013 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. He is a throat singer of “Ayin” Ensemble of Inner Mongolia.
Mr. Mendbayar Jargalsaikhan is a founder and teacher of “International Khoomii School”, located in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Before he worked as teacher of throat singing at Cultural University of Inner Mongolia, China.
