The XII-th edition of Black Sea Fest "Euro folk 2015" started with lots of strong performances of collectives from Bulgaria, Poland, Russia, Latvia, Austria and Indonesia. At the very first festival evening, two collectives were honored with First price Golden "Orpheus" in the categories "Processed folklore" and "Authentic folklore".

In the first category, Maestro Georgi Yankov (conductor and musical specialist, member of the jury) granted the prize to the performers from the Group for Processed folklore "Avliga“ at Pensioner club "Nadezhda", Merdanya village, Municipality of Lyaskovets, Bulgaria. The award in the second category won the singers from Folklore group "Senokoski slavei" at "Smirnenski-1941" Community Center, Senokos village, Municipality of Balchik, Bulgaria. The prize was granted by Valentin Halvadzhiev (choreographer and member of the jury).

Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov, president of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF welcomed the participants in the festival and gave the official start of the XII "Black Sea Fest - Euro Folk 2015" With a lot of emotionality and artistry the vocal groups, ensembles, dance groups and individual performers presented their.

The audience loudly applauded the performances of the Ensemble of Song and Dance „Resovia Saltans“ from Poland, group „Ajuwara“ – Indonesia, the composer, arranger and only professional performer on hurdy-gurdy in Russia - Andrey Vinogradov, Folklore dance group ROTAĻA from Latvia, Folklore group „Granicari“ from Austria and dozens of Bulgarian groups. With their performances, they all expressed their love to the folklore and their aim to keep it alive, by passing it to the young generations.

After their first performance, the participants received honorary diplomas and honorary sign of the festival, Diplomas for significant contribution to the preservation and promotion of traditional folk arts, References for participation in Bulgarian, Balkan, European and World Championship of Folklore. Some of the performers were honored by the jury with laureate titles.

Lots of pleasant moments with the singing and dancing competition for Grand Prix Golden "Orpheus" are yet to come. XII "Black Sea Fest - Euro Folk 2015" is held from 2 to 6 September on the stage of „Green park“ resort – Kiten, Bulgaria.
