The first  edition of the International folklore festival "From Folk To Modern Dances" gave a stage for performance of 10 groups, to show their culture and traditional folklore arts. From 29 August to 02 September in Duress Albania non-professional artists from 5 countries sang and danced. Most representatives - 3 Bulgarian groups , 3 Poland , 2 Romanian , 1 Macedonain , 1 Czech Republic

The 350 participants, residents and guests of Duress Albania, who attended the official opening ceremony on 31 August.

At the end of the second festival evening on 01th of September, the director of the festival Mr. Jovan Jonoski thanked the participants for taking part in The I International Folklore Festival “From Folk To Modarn Dances”  by giving them certificates and all the groups had chance to exchange gifts and contacts with each other.

The festival evening was held in the center in Duress. Besides presenting their traditional songs and dances, the participants showed interesting costumes. The atmosphere of the folklore event was more than celebratory and cohesive.

The groups from around the world had the opportunity to meet new people, make new friends and enjoy the beauty of Duress. In their free time, groups visited many historical and cultural monuments.
