The president of the European Association of Folklore Festivals (EAFF) Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov congratulated the General Secretary of UNESCO, Ms. Irina Bokova, on the occasion of awarding her the title Doctor Honoris Causa of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The honorary degree was bestowed during the meeting on high level at IV Staint-Petersburg International Cultural Forum, organized by the Government of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Government of St. Petersburg. The Cultural Forum was held from 13 to 17 December 2015 in honor of 70 years since the founding of UNESCO, and included 308 events spread over 82 locations with over 9,000 participants from 120 countries.
