Choir "VICTORIA" from Children's Art School № 4 (Volgograd, Russia), with artistic director – Victoria Varlamova  became the winner of the Grand Prix and Grand Prix diploma and won a bunch of awards and recognitions at the III World Children and Youth Choir Championship, which was held from 17 to 21 February in St. Petersburg, Russia.

36 choirs were divided into five subsets of the 1/8 final.

The jury evaluated the performances of the participants by eight criteria. For each position the maximum score was 10 points and the final maximum score - 400 points. After a close competition in the first selection, 8 formations reached to the Bronze round, and to ¼ finals - 28. The concerts were held in Cathedral church "St. Peter and Paul", Grand Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic academic "D. D. Shostakovich" and the Concert Hall of the Music-pedagogical school.

The three team in the Bronze round were awarded the Bronze Diploma and third place. The remaining 8 received a diploma for participation. In the competition in the quarterfinals half choirs qualified for the semifinals, while the other half were awarded the Bronze Diploma and a bronze medal.

In the semifinal singing 8 people won a Silver Diploma and second place and only six received the required number of points and qualified for the finals.

8 collectives deserved First award and Golden diploma. The jury granted special awards: 'Best conductor of choir", "Best Accompanist",  "Best Female Soloist" and "Best Male Soloist".

The prize of the public affection was won by Vocal and choral ensemble "Ocharovanie" (Lipetsk, Russia), with artistic director – Elena Serova

Several special awards were established by the honorary jury:

"The best children's choir", "For outstanding achievements in the field of choral art", "For high performng skills", "For preservation of choral performance traditions", "For the best performance of sacred music", "For contribution to the development of choral art", "For the will to win", "For the preservation of the Russian singing school's traditions",  "For best performance of music of Petersburg composer", "The hope of choral Russia", "For he successful activities aimed at moral education and patriotic training of youth", For contribution to peace".

The star of the Championship, honored with the special award of honorary jury, became Vocal ensemble "BREVIS" (Osijek, Croatia), with artistic director Antuanetta Radozhay-Erkovich.
