For the fourth time musical and folklore dance groups, majorettes, brass bands and choirs – 14 groups in total with about 500 performers from different countries visited the Hungarian capital in order to show their art, to present their cultures on the local audience and one to another.
IV Musical and dance festival “Summer in Budapest” was held from 14th till 17th of July and once again provided the opportunity to participants to highlight the message for friendship and cooperation through the art of dances and songs.
The first festival evening was held in one of the central squares of Budapest in front of numerous spectators who enjoyed the diverse program.
“The second performance was held in the very famous National Heritage House. This beautiful building was a worthy venue for the Gala Concert, where Szimeon Varga, Bulgarian Nationality spokesman from the Hungarian Parliament, and Ms. Sintija Paura from the Latvian Embassy in Budapest are.welcomed the Bulgarian, Latvian and the other nationality groups.”, announced Mr. Aron Kovats – the director of the festival and main organizer of the event.
He expressed his strong belief that after many positive feedbacks for the fourth edition of the dance-music festival "Summer in Budapest", the Forum will be held next year again.
In their spare time, some of the participants enjoyed a pleasant boat trip on the Danube river and tourist sightseeing tour in Budapest with professional guides and translation in their own languages.
Male, Female and Mixed groups for authentic folklore from Bulgaria shared their impressions in a short review “The organization of the festival was excellent. The program was strictly followed. We managed to represent Bulgaria, Mineralni bani Municipality and ourselves well. We had the chance to walk through the fabulous Budapest and enjoy a part of its beauty.”
