From the 2nd until the 5th of August the Hungarian capital Budapest was the host of the Open International Folklore meeting 2016. Three foreign groups took part in the forum: “Tradition” from Poland , “Republic – FS Javornik” from the Czech Republic and groups from Community center “Nikola Vaptzarov - 2005” – village Struma from Bulgaria – took part in the forum.

 “The youngsters from the Czech Republic created a wonderful atmosphere. The Polish children form Rzeszow had an amazing performance that entertained the audience which applauded them. Bulgaria’s performance was also wonderful, including performers from different ages which presented traditional Bulgarian dances and songs”.

This was said by the director of the festival, Gaal Tibor, who introduced some of the participant in the forum of folklore and expressed his gratitude towards them and the festival’s partners: the 20th region of the local self-government in Budapest, Cultural center "Törekvés" and "Csili".

The Open International Folklore meeting in Budapest is really open for every representative of the folklore art and the organizers are hoping to witness more amazing performances and groups in the festival’s next edition in 2017.
