The biggest festival on Adriatic coast "Le spiagge d'Italia" was organized in the green Pearl of Adriatic - Riccione from 22nd till 26th of September. The event hosted more than 600 artists from 7 countries - Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Morocco, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland and became triumph of folklore, friendship and solidarity. 18 groups performed in the center of Riccione and animating the end of September with colours of their costumes, talent and showing traditions of their own country. "The festival is a solid way to appreciate and keep alive the traditions and cultures of different peoples, a heritage that should not be lost, even if, in our everyday life folklore is often uncared for and considered almost an afterthought." - said the Artistic Director of Festival Mrs Svetlana Rumenova. Special guest of the event was the Honorary Consul of Bulgaria for region Emiglia Romagna, ing. Franco Castellini since Bulgaria is the country with highest number of participating groups in all editions of the festival. And also this year half of participating groups came from Bulgaria - 9 in total. From the stage Mr. Castellini invited all guests to visit Bulgaria, joking ensuring that the Black Sea is not at all black. Councillor for Tourism of Riccione Mr Claudio Montanari opened officially the festival in the presence of all participating delegations on the stage after which the audience was immersed in a whirlwind of emotions, traditional dancing and high-level performance. In day dedicated of extra activities all participants enjoyed togerther in degustation o typical italian cheese and wine, Zumba on the beach , sand scultures competition and of course - disco evening. Nobody missed to visit the most requested destination - San Marino and sunny days in Riccione allowed visit of more interesting places around. The great final of festival was reserved for Dance and Song ensemble "Pulanie" from Poland - whole group donated toys and school supplies to children earthquake victims in Amatrice-Italy. "We're grateful and honored to have met Mr Adam Majka-leader of ensemble and his students!", shared the organizers of the event.
