International festival of choirs and orchestras in Porec (Istria, Croatia) is the beginnig of a row of festivals in Adriatic in 2017. From 19th till 23rd of April the largest peninsula of the Adriatic and the most popular holiday destination in Croatia will be stage for performances of choirs and orchestras from all over the world.
Despite the relatively small surface of Istria it offers an unbelievable multitude of impressive sceneries to be discovered. Besides gorgeous parks, a picturesque stone coast and long beaches the Croatian Riveria provides many superb cultural events, such as the Istra Music Festival.
III. "Summer in Kvarner" Music Festival will be held from 1st till 4th of June in Crikvenica, Baska.The Kvarner Riviera is located next to Istria (along the Croatian coast) and is centred around the city of Rijeka, which is the busiest port on the Adriatic. The most famous resort in this area is Opatija, with Lovran, Crikvenica, Kraljevica and Novi Vinodolski also popular. The islands of Krk, Losinj, Cres and Rab are also considered to be part of the Kvarner region.
The participants of this festival can present their performances in this beautiful surroundings in Croatia in front of many local people and visitors in of the third biggest city in Croatia, Rijeka, and nearby Crikvenica, and Kraljevica.
Adriatic Dance and Music Festival expects performers of authentic, processed and styled songs and dances from tens of countries. The festival will be held in the period July 13 - 16 in one of the most beautiful places in Croatia - paradise island of Krk where you can explore the ruins and landmarks, left by the Romans, some of which date back from I c. BC. e., and the historic town of Senj.
Festival fiesta in Croatia continues in August with the IV. "Summer in Adria" Music Festival. Hosts of this event from 10th till 13th of August will be the towns of Crikvenica and Novi Vinodolski - filled with the spirit of the rich cultural heritage.
Feats of creativity and artistry in music, dance and vocal arts will have in September as well. In the period September 21 - 24 in Istra will be held the III. Istria Music Festival. Performances of folklore groups, orchestras, majorettes, modern dance groups, choirs and musical bands from all over the world can be combined with tours to the historical landmarks of the town and surroundings.
