On November 20, in the Tbilisi Concert Hall, was held the already traditional concert dedicated to the Dancer of the Century – Omar Mkheidze, Georgian Public Artist, Laureate of the National Prize, Knight of Georgian Culture and Georgian Choreography, dignified member of the Board of Elders of the Society of Chokhosnebi, Honorary Chairman of the Georgian Union of Choreographers, Honorary Citizen of Tbilisi and Batumi. The concert was organized by the Tbilisi Municipality and the Georgian Union of Choreographers. The concert was supported by the European Association of Folklore Festivals – EAFF, Georgian Choreography Newspaper, Georgian Veteran Choreographers’ Fund, National Center of Georgian Choreography and the Institute of Qualification and Professional Development of Teachers of Georgia. Children and youth choreographic ensembles from Tbilisi and other regions of Georgia participated in the concert, including already merited groups operating at the studios named after Omar Mkheidze. The two-part concert was conducted at the highest level. At the end of the concert, by the initiative of the Board of the Georgian Union of Choreographers, celebrated choreographers were awarded with the Order of Excellence of Georgian Choreography and Order of Intercessor of Georgian Choreography and participant groups received special prizes and diplomas signed by Omar Mkheidze.
