SMAN 28 JAKARTA with artistic director Mr. Rahimi won the II World cup of Folklore – Veliko Tarnovo 2017. The Indonesian performers from Jakarta made a real show on the stage of the musical-dance forum, impressed with costumes, choreography and stage presence,m which was the reason to win the Grand Prix - the Grand Cup of the Forum, Diploma for the First place and voucher for 1000 Euro for participation in the World Championship of Folklore “World folk”.

At the second place in the World cup of Folklore was ranked the dance ensemble “Ludi mladi” from Shumen (Bulgaria), with artistic director Boris Ivanov. The group also received the Cup for Second place, Diploma and voucher for 500 Euro for participation in the World Championship of Folklore “World folk”.

The third position in the final ranking of World cup of Folklore – Veliko Tarnovo 2017 was for “Al Azhar BSD” from Tangerang,  Indonesia. The group received the Cup for Third place, Diploma and voucher for 300 Euro for participation in the World Championship of Folklore “World folk”. The vouchers are provided by the European Association of Folklore Festivals – EAFF and have a validity of 2 years

II World cup of Folklore – Veliko Tarnovo 2017 as held together with two major folk formats – VIII Bulgarian National Championship of Folklore and  XXI Stara Planina Fest “Balkan Folk”. The three major events gathered together over 200 groups with more than 4000 participants from 11 to 21 May in the Old Bulgarian capital Veliko Tarnovo.
