12 groups and more than 250 participants from Estonia, Georgia and Latvia took part in the International Folklore Festival in Georgia - region of Racha. The event took place in the period August 10 - 17 and gave an opportunity to the participants to present their traditional songs and dances.
The organizers of the festival informed that the concerts were held in the village of Shkmeri and in the both towns of Ambrolauri and Oni. Collectives received diplomas for participation after their performances. In their spare time, participants had the chance to visit museums, to taste Georgian wine, to get to know the wine manufacturing.
Racha is highland area in western Georgia, located in the upper Rioni river valley and hemmed in by the Greater Caucasus mountains, that is why the program includes two-day excursion to the mountain.
