“Rituals and history of masquerade festivals in Bulgaria” is the theme, with which the president of European Association of Folklore Festivals – EAFF,
Kaloyan Nikolov take part in International Academic conference in Laos Democratic Republic. The event is organized by IMACO (UNESCO – NGO, International organization of masquerade art and culture is held from 31-st of October until 03-rd of November in village Vientiane.
The first for Bulgaria International festival of mask games “Surva”, which has held already 26 years in city of Pernik, drew the attention of organizers of the conference with a theme “Present and future of World masquerade culture and the necessity from archive project”.
Worthy presentation of the emblematic national celebration of international academic conference was prepared with the cooperation of municipality Pernik. In his capacity as a president of EAFF, M-r Nikolov had received his invitation for participation personally from Mr. Moon Hyung Suk – Director of “International Relations” department and co-founder of IMACO and from The Ministry of Culture of Laos.
The academic conference was officially opened from the minister of culture of Laos. The solemn ceremony was respected from many local culture and art activists as well from important international guests. Accompanying event was the opening of exhibition on the theme of the conference.
