The European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF and the president of it - Kaloyan Nikolov are example for creating actually functioning cultural and digital connectivity. This was announced by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Galina Bogdanova (IMI-BAS) during the IV Scientific Conference with international participation, which took place on 19th and 20th of April in the framework of the 15th International Tourism Exhibition "Cultural Tourism" - Veliko Tarnovo 2018. At the conference "Cultural and Historical Heritage: Preservation, Presentation, Digitization" 29 reports were published from Bulgaria and abroad. All of them provoked interesting questions for discussions related to the awareness of the traditional culture, the folklore music authorship, the folklore presence in education, the cultural and historical routes, traditions of the Bulgarian gardening, digitized recording of the intangible cultural heritage, and others. A report about the role of modern information technologies in preservation of the Intangible Cultural Heritage was presented by Kaloyan Nikolov (EAFF). It was focused on the application of new information technologies in modern society and their usage for the formation of proper educational and value system in the growing generation. The report was in the program of the Forum "Preservation, digitization and presentation of Intangible Cultural Heritage", part of the main conference. The presentation of reports was online broadcasted at the Eurofolk TV channel, thus way included some of the rapporteurs from abroad - Assoc. Prof. Dmitry Ritov (Russia). According to him, "People's culture is eternal, but this eternity has to be preserved with the capabilities of modern technologies." The common line followed by all participants in their reports - the genesis is formed on the basis of acquired information, but the acquisition of information did not give culture. (Conference recordings can be viewed on the TV channel in YouTube). Accompanying events of the scientific forum were three exhibitions: "Mila Rodino" of the Scientific Archive at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Partners on the occasion of the 155th anniversary of the birth of Tsvetan Radoslavov (author of the Bulgarian anthem "Gorda Stara Planina"); "Nadezhda 1869 Community center in Veliko Tarnovo - Guardian of the Bulgarian spiritual and state tradition" and Photo Exhibition "Folklore - Shared Knowledge. Past, Present and Future" by Georgi Nutsov (official photographer of EAFF). 56 photos were exhibited at the Vassil Levski Palace of Culture and Sports. "The highlight in the exhibition is the young people - today's followers of folklore traditions" said the photographer. The whole interview with him, as well as detailed information from Kaloyan Nikolov and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Galina Bogdanova about the course of the event, can be seen in the "Balkan Folk" TV show in June on Eurofolk TV.
