For thousands of years music, songs and dances have been the natural language in which all peoples can communicate, share and interweave the cultural strata of their traditions. World Championship of Folklore "World Folk" provides a scene for this intercultural communication, which not only does not age, but is becoming more and more popular.

For its eighth edition, "World Folk" expects the best performers of traditional folk arts from: Bulgaria, Indonesia, Georgia, Ukraine, Iran, Israel, Montenegro, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, South Korea, Canada and others.

100 groups and individual performers – about 2000 participants have claimed attractive performances that impress with costumes, movements, dynamics and dedication to any audience. Besides bringing delight to the soul of the audience, they will compete in 9 categories and 2 age groups for the Grand Prix of the Championship.

The jury will award Nomination "Orpheus", which gives the right for participation in the ranking for World Grand Prix "Orpheus". The champions will receive golden medals and for the second and third place - silver and bronze. The winners will also receive certificates for laureates and a diploma for World Champion of Folklore for 2018 in the relevant category.

In the individual categories may be given additional gold, silver and bronze medals with the relevant diplomas. All participants receive Diplomas and Subject awards. Special Awards of the Jury for Authentic costume , Stage costume, Contemporary processing, Musical accompaniment, Artistry, Soloist, and more.The awards are announced at a ceremony during the World Championship of Folklore "World Folk”.

At the discretion of the jury and the producers World Folk Academy, deserving artistic leaders shall be honored with a Diploma for obtaining the title Maestro or Maestro Academic. Diplomas will be sent to the Mayors of the municipalities with a request to hand them in an appropriate manner.

The winner of the big award "WORLD FOLK 2018" – World Grand Prix "Orpehus", Golden medal and Diploma for Absolute World Champion of Folklore for 2018 will also receive a money prize of 1000 Euro.

Hosts of the seven 5-hour concert will be several Bulgarian towns along the Black Sea coast – Nessebar, Sunny Beach Resort, Sveti Vlas, Obzor, Pomorie and Burgas. You can find the program by days and hours HERE

For those who can not attend concerts and admire the wonderful beauty and splendor of songs, dances, music and costumes, there will also be a solution – the EAFF team is working on a real-time broadcasting project for all 5-hour concerts, the most interesting parts of the two parades, meetings of nations "Friends in diversity", master class - Accordon "Kravtsov", interviews and curious moments "behind the scenes".
