On the 13th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage from 25 November to 1 December 2018 in Port Louis (Republic of Mauritius), was the General Assembly of the ICH NGO Forum - platform for communication, networking, exchange and cooperation for NGOs accredited by UNESCO to provide advisory services to the Intergovernmental Committee in the framework of the 2003 UNESCO Convention on the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. 

In the elections for new members of the Steering Committee, Mr. Kaloyan Nikolov - President of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF (ICH Partner of UNESCO) and Member of the Executive Board of Regional Center for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO (Category 2) was elected as a Member of the Steering Committee of ICH NGO FORUM for the Eastern Europe Region.  Steering Committee members are 7 and are divided by regions of 176 Non-governmental organizations accredited to the UNESCO Convention on the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
