Kaloyan Nikolov, President of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF participated in the International Scientific Conference "History and Present of Choreographic Folklore" by the special invitation of the Union of choreographers in Georgia. The Folklore Science Event took place from 16 to 18 March in the Batumi State University "Shota Rustaveli". In his report "Folklore choreographic festivals as a form for preservation of cultural heritage" Kaloyan Nikolov talked about the importance of the presentation of traditional dance elements through choreographic art in organized local, national and international events and the contribution of EAFF to this. The forum was organized by the Union of Choreographers in Georgia with the assistance of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara (Georgia), The Council of International Dance CID UNESCO, the European Association of Folklore Festivals (EAFF). The conference was officially opened by the Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of the Autonomous Republic of Adjar Mrs. Inga Shamilishvili and the President of the Council of International Dance CID Prof. Alkis Raftis. The forum was also attended by Desislava Ivanova - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia. Within the framework of the folklore conference, the presentation she made emphasized the richness of singing folk art in Bulgaria. The program of delegates at the conference included the presentation of reports related to the development and popularization of the world folklore culture and art, sharing experience and prospects for the future development and preservation of the valuable experience gathered back in time, activating creative contacts and strengthening mutual respect and tolerance through folklore. Prof. Lauzi Chanishvili - president of the Creative Union of Choreographers in Georgia and an honorary member of EAFF awarded the distinguished choreographers and distinguished cultural figures by awarding them with honorary medals for contributions, plaques and other awards. The focus of the conference program was the opening of the "Star of glory" by Teimuraz Bolkvadze, chief artistic director of the Professional Ensemble "Batumi" at Batumi Municipality. The spectacular celebration of dance and singing was recorded and broadcasted by Georgia's national television, where the president of EAFF gave an interview.
