Asian Championship of Folklore "Asia Folk 2019"  is held in the period June 12 - 17 in the capital of Mongolia, Ulan Bator.  The Championship is attended by 25 groups from 12 Asian countries. Large-scale folklore contest was officially opened by the Prime Minister of Mongolia - Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh.

Chairman of the jury is Nikolay Kravtsov - Professor in Saint Petersburg State University and an honorary artisan of Russia. The jury is in composition: MD.MOON Hyung Suk - IMACO founder and president;  Gulnora MUSAEVA - director of National dances and choreography  department at Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan; Maestro SOSORBARAM Dogmid -  honorary artisan of Mongolia;  ENKHTSETSEG Danzan  - director of Culture and art faculty in the University of culture and arts (Mongolia).

The main stage of the Championship is located in the Sükhbaatar Square in front of the National Assembly building.

In parallel with the Asian Championship of Folklore "Asia Folk 2019", the National Championship of Mongolia is held. More than 1700 singers, dancers and musicians will take part in it. 

Mr Kaloyan Nikolov - president of the World Association of Folklore Festivals (WAFF) and the European Association of Folklore Festivals (EAFF), welcomed the participants in the event: "I'm glad that the first Asian Championship of Folklore "Asia Folk 2019" is held in the capital of Mongolia, because it is a place where the respect and friendship are highly appreciated, combined with historical preconditions and magnificent nature. I would like to thank the participants who use their time and energy to preserve the cultural heritage of nations and pass it on to the future generations."

Folklore event is organized under the aegis of the Culture and Arts Authority, the Government implementing agency of Mongolia, World Association of Folklore Festivals - WAFF, European  Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF, ArtLar Culturе NGO, World Folklore Academy and the support of UNESCO Mongolia. 

The forum is organized with the financial and logistical support of: Culture and Arts Authority, the Government implementing agency of Mongolia, Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports in Mongolia. Director of Asian Championship of Folklore is Mrs. Tsatsral Baatar. 

Points from the assessment of the participants in the Championship competition program are valid for ranking in the World Ranking List of Folklore.
