The XVII edition of International Folklore Festival "Macedonian sun" (8-12 August 2019) was attended by more than 230 performers of folklore dances and songs from 5 groups presenting the culture and traditions of Serbia, North Macedonia, Romania and Israel.
All the participants did their best in order to present their repertoire in the best possible way at the stage in the center of Ohrid. The audience applauded all the performances.
The festival ended with the Awarding ceremony, where participants received diplomas and exchanged gifts. During their stay, participants visited many landmarks and religious sites that carry architectural and historic memory of the area and accompanied by a tour guide enjoyed
a boat cruise on Ohrid Lake.
The forum allowed the performers to explore different traditions and to create new intercultural friendships. "We look forward to the next edition of the festival" the participants shared.
