The IV International music and dance folklore festival "Ethno rhythms" was held from 6th till 10th of September and brought together more than 400 performers in the Black Sea resort Golden sands (Bulgaria). 

The purposes of the folklore meetings are to develop the cultural exchange between the nations and communities, to encourage the artistic abilities of participants and to promote the Bulgarian and foreign folklore. 

Three concerts were organized within the festival, which were attended by representatives of 18 groups from 9 regions of Bulgaria - Silistra, Pernik, Lovech, Vidin, Pazardzhik, Pleven, Smolyan, Montana, Burgas. 4 foreign groups took part in the event also, they presented Lithuania, Romania and Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The event was opened by the Chairman of the Tourist Chamber of Varna, Mr Zhelyo Dushev. Special guest of the "Ethno rhythms" Festival, deputy mayor of the Turkish town of Edirne, Mr Ertuğrul Tanrıkulu greeted the participants. Among the official guests was Mr. Ivan Tabakov -President of the Commerce and Industry Chamber of Varna.

According to the program, the event was accompanied by a parade on the main walking street of Golden sands, a presentation of selected folklore groups in Astera 4**** Hotel and two concerts at the open stage in Riva Hotel. During their free time, the performers enjoyed relaxing on the clean beach of Golden sands. They visited the Palace of the Romanian Queen Maria and the Botanical Garden in Balchik and enjoyed the natural beauty of Cape Kaliakra and the sights of Varna.

Children had the opportunity to take part in an art workshop "Gifts from the sea" and a tasting of organic wines produced from the Varna region was organized for the elderly.
