From 14th to 18th of May 2020 Veliko Tarnovo will be the host of one of the largest folklore events. The picturesque town will impress you with some of the most valuable historical monuments of Bulgaria and beautiful architecture. The charm of the houses built on the slopes winding along the Yantra River, the grandeur of the Tsarevets fortress and the Asenevtsi monument, as well as the authenticity of "Samovodska charshia" ethnographic complex will leave you breathless.
By visiting this emblematic town for Bulgaria, you can also become the winner of the Grand Prix of the World Cup of Folklore - Veliko Tarnovo, Golden medal and the diploma "WINNER of WORLD CUP OF FOLKLORE".
To do this, you need to present in your best the individual or duet performance, or if you are a member of a folklore ensemble, folklore vocal or dance group, group for old urban songs, brass or folklore orchestra - to present the repertoire to the audience in the best possible way.
An authoritative jury will evaluate the best participants, strictly watching the level of complexity and technique of performance, presentation and stage behavior. The winners will be awarded at the respective category.
Concerts and the competition program of the World Cup of Folklore - Veliko Tarnovo will be broadcasted live on the Internet TV EuroFolkTV. Evaluations are valid for the rankings in the World Ranking List.
Organizers of the event are the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF, Euro Folk Academy, World Folklore Academy and Event Vacation. You can watch the one-hour movie about the last edition of the forum which was accompanied by the Stara Planina Festival "Balkan Folk" and the National Championship of Folklore "Euro Folk". Your performances can also be captured by EuroFolkTV's cameras.
