With the characteristic calling “Drazh se zemyo – shop te gazi!”, the dancers from the Shopianethnographic folklore area in Bulgaria  most accurately describe the energy and dynamism of their performances.

Squatting, springing, flutter – abrupt and sharp movements of folk dancers from Western Bulgaria emphasize the strength of their spirit.

Today we present to you Dance ensemble "Bulgarche" from third age group, to “Trud i postoyanstvo 1901” Community center – Chelopech village, Bulgaria. The performers illustrate the temperament of their ancestors, through the nine-minute “Shopski tants” (“Shopian dance”). The group is European champion of folklore for 2019, winner of  “Golden Orpheus” and the gold medal of the ХI European Championship of Folklore “Euro folk” – Nessebar, Bulgaria. Stanislav Stoykov is artistic director of the folklore formation.
