Music group "Avaye Tabari" was founded 25 years ago and the group's repertoire includes ceremonial, national and folklore music. 

Group has been nominated for the Grand Prix Golden "Orpheus". It is a winner of Golden medal and the title "World Champion of Folklore" in 2017 in the "Folklore instrumental groups" category. 

"We are from Mazandaran region which is located in Northern Iran under the Caspian Sea, and we focus our work on the study and the spread of musical art...", art director of the orchestra Mr. Sayed Jalal Mohammadi informed.

Music group has presented more than 15 typical for their culture instruments and the musicians have performed solo with each of them. Here are some of the instruments presented in the video:

Naghareh- instrument, made of baked clay with cow skin 

Zurna - wind instrument, made from the slow-growing and hard wood of fruit trees. It is used during festive events such as weddings and public celebrations.

Gukal - used for gathering of people, instrument with convenient design made by Mr. Meissan Ruby. It was made of cow horns and a long rot. Sound depents on the lenght and size of the instrument.

Daf - big round drum-like instrument. It is usually open on one side, not closed like a drum. The frame is usually made of wood with a sheepskin membrane glued to one side. Sometimes very small metal rings are attached on the other side of the daf that is open.

Oud - well-known and important Arabic musical instrument which symbolized the modern and the traditional Arabian music. It is derived from the ancient Persian "barbat" instrument. Oud means "from wood" and "stick" in Arabic.
