5 June 2020 Championships Interesting facts
Folklore ensemble "Otrada" at the Municipal Budgetary Insititution "Center of National Culture" - Nizhnevartovsk, Khanty-Mansi autonomous area - Yugra, Tyumen region, Russia won the Golden medal in the category "Groups for folklore songs, modern arrangements" and category "Groups for old urban songs" in the X European Championship of Folklore "Euro Folk" 2018. Ensemble was also nominated for the Grand Prix Golden "Orpheus" and received the third place in the final rankings.
"The group was established 20 ago. We participated in two categories with Russian folklore songs and urban songs. We've selected folklore songs from Cenral Russia and we've put part of our soul in the performances, as well in the modern music. Everyone put a part of his soul and that is how we prepared the this repertoire. Old urban songs have been sang everywhere and we've chosen these ones that are interesting and we can present them in the best possible way." - said the artistic director of the group Mr Vasiliy Alatortsev in front of the cameras.
