The absolute winner of the XVII edition of the Folklore festival "Euro folk - Black sea" 2021 that was held in the period June 23-28, 2021 in Kiten is Dance group "Srednogorski polah" from Ihtiman, Bulgaria. Artistic directors of the group are Mariela Ivanova and Desislava Ivanova. The ensemble received Grand Prix and Golden "Orpheus" of the competition.

"As a choreographer of Dance grop "Srednogorski polah" I want to thank the jury for the high evaluation, as well as my dancers - the best, most positive, cool and nice people who give all of us great joy," said Ms. Ivanova. expressed her joy at the success achieved.

During the competition program, 17 teams and individual performers were awarded laureate titles. 12 of them - with Ist degree, 4- with IInd and one - with IIIrd.

Laureate Ist degree: Ensemble "Folklorni ritmi", Varna; Folklore group "Nastroenie", Gabrovo; Genyo Stefanov Genev, Gabrovo; Group for harvest songs, San Stefano village; Female folklore group "Detelina", Raduil village; Trio "Solovushka", Varna; Female vocal group, Govedartsi village; Vocal group "Vdahnovenie", Polski Trambesh; Dance group "Vasilena", Krushari village; Franceska Lyubenova Latinova, Teteven; Group for authentic folklore "Tetevenski bozhurcheta", Teteven and Dance group "Srednogorski polah", Ihtiman.

Laureate IInd degree: Group for old urban songs "Eho ot mladostta", Svishtov; Group for authentic folklore, San Stefano village; Group for old urban songs "Vyara, nadezhda, lyubov", Plovdiv; Dance group "Prolet", Petrich.

Folklore group "Pey sartse", Vardim village was awarded the laureate title IIIrd degree.

Ensembles and individual performers also received points for ranking in the World Ranking List of Folklore, an initiative of the World Association of Folklore Festivals - WAFF.

The jury, which has the obligation to evaluate all performances in 9 categories and 2 age groups is composed of: Mr. Damyan Damyanov - choreographer; Mrs. Mariana Nutsova - ethnologist, author of TV shows and films on folklore theme. The chairman of the jury is Maestro Georgi Yankov - music specialist, he judged online, watching all performances in real time.

The forum was officially closed by the President of the European Association of Folklore Festivals - EAFF, hoping for future stage meetings with participants: "Folklore is the lifeblood of any society and the basis for educating of the future generations. Only continuity and respect make societies strong, so I thank all the artistic directors, all the participants, all those who give their energy, strength and talent to preserve the traditions and folklore arts".
